[Max] I need help! / Corona image editor saved images gamma
« on: 2017-06-14, 13:07:04 »
Why i canĀ“t open corona exrs saved from CIE in after effects ?
And why CIE exr are with the exposure and gamma completely off ?

Mind that i don't have any issue in after effects with corona exr and regular exr saved from frame buffer.

Again top notch stuff.

What did you used for lighting hdri or sun+sky?
Super natural...

Very nice.

40min per frame uau.

If you did the animation at 25 fps that was around 125 days of render time !!!

Am I correct ?

Update:

I got it working and quite like the results

The 01b is the version with the luts and 210w 34b sRGB

Wow that's some difference. Are you able to post any of the post processing settings that you used in conjunction with the LUTs?

That's the beauty of it, get the exposure right, highlight compress an then I just  applied the lut at 100%, vignette, chromatic aberration, tweaked the white balance and that's it.
I do the post outside of corona due our layer workflow .

good news, the new LUTs are now bundled with Corona installer

That's wonderful news Ondra

With white color at 240 I presume the render times have fallen of the charts (super high), right?

i'm still testing

Dubcat:

I prefer your PhotographicCurve v2  lut that you previously shared with albedos white 240  black 50 srgb corona contrast 4

30black/210white plus the luts seems to dark/contrasty and washout textures.

With the PhotographicCurve v2 setup i get an almost perfect material editor preview match up with the actually rendered.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but this setup is a lot more predictable

Wonderful set  Jakub...

Upon a comment of rawalanche about the brightness of the walls on my last set of images what is the albedo value on your white walls ?

Thanks for the reply.

The floor is from cgsource.

Rawalanche its curious that you mentioned the brightness of the walls.

Maybe i messed up with the post and flattened the image with luts ? I did compressed the highlights...

This is the ref photo by the way

Hi bluebox,

Albedo value for the white walls is 240 srgb

For the luts nothing special worth mention. We tried to be faithful to the photo shoot regarding the contrast value.

For the the environment light, we used an sunny hdri rotated.

Hello!

After two years of working for Real Estate investors in Lisbon trying to capture the mood, we saw a set o photographs of Apartamento in Estrela by Aurora Arquitectos that depicts the mood we were looking for, so we decided to do a quick exercise to emulate the mood and light of the living room.

The exercise developed in a set of images witch we called Living in Lisbon.

Hope you like it.
