So its essentially multimap but for materials and not maps?

There is CoronaSelect map too.

Neat! It would be cool if there was a modifier to go with this to control it much like the material id modifier.
I know it could be done with wire parameters.

It also can simply be animated with keyframes.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Hi,

We really need more information than this when reporting issues. Information which is really useful to provide to us can be found here: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000524006-how-to-report-issues-3ds-max#introduction

Thanks,

Rowan

Hi guys

Im using the latest daily and I have a current interior scene with corona sun/sky.  I just rendered off a 3000 pixel wide image with the pass limit hittng 200 and the noise level at 4% and its still noisy?
never had this before?  Anyone else experiencing this?

Noise level at 4% is still a noisy render by any standard.

Wow really?  What noise level would you consider ok?
Usually 3 or 4% is super clean.  This is an odd occurence.

Hi,

In this case can you please send us your scene so that we can investigate? Instructions on how to do this can be found in my signiture.

Can you also check in task manager if your memory usage spikes heavily when the denoising starts? We are currently aware of an issue with the Intel denoiser which causes the memory usage to spike and in certain cases can cause Max to crash.

Thanks,

Rowan

Hi, just to be sure - is it that the rendered image is actually still noisy or just that the noise metric reports the high value? While the computed noise level should usually correlate to the real amount of noise in the image, it's still kind of a black magic and sometimes it may be a bit off.

Hi Ryuu
The image itself is quiet noisy.  Usually at 4% (200 passes in this case) it was noisy - first time this has happened with either % or passes.  Like i said i used sun and sky which is strange.  Usually if i use a HDRI i can expect a bit more noise but to get it this way is surprising.

one other thing - not sure if its been mentioned here.  However when using the onemapping saturation and you put it to -1.  The colors go all weird.

Hi!
When using IES, the mirror does not reflect light at all, only a black spot.
Real art begins with an idea that is improved with its implementation.

Hi,

Yeah we are aware of this. It's being looked into.

Cheers,

Rowan
