Hi Team,
So I'm using this for the first time on a set of images, it seems to work but only for what looks like random passes depending on the view. For the passes that it doesn't work on, I get an error message in the CMD window saying "file-name.exr -- Image resolution must be at least 1x1, you asked for 0x0" I cant see anywhere in the Config or Bat file to set this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

[Max] Feature Requests / Resolution set in camera.
« on: 2018-10-23, 12:43:06 »
Hey so I'm currently setting up preview cameras for a job and thought it would be really helpful if the resolution/ aspect ratio could be set in the camera or if the cameras could create some kind of guide lines, so we could potentially preview both portrait and landscape views at the same time in different viewports. I have no idea what i'm talking about when it comes to this but assuming this is a limitation of max and is probably why its not already in but figured it was worth voicing.

All the best.

[Max] I need help! / Re: Deadline Tile Rendering
« on: 2018-02-09, 19:07:23 »
Hey Maru

We've had this problem too. The only way we've been able to fix it is to render out the precalc before hand or have deadline render the precalc and queue the job to render with a dependency so once the precalc has finished the render file will or manually render the precalc and set the tile render to use the precalced cache.

[Max] Feature Requests / Re: DOF Pass
« on: 2017-11-16, 18:22:28 »
I understand it as a heatmap, which would show you the amount of DoF blur for each pixel of the image

Ye pretty much to show where in your scene the bluring is strongest/ weakest

[Max] Feature Requests / DOF focust point indication
« on: 2017-11-16, 14:28:12 »
Hey so i was thinking a render element maybe similar to the zDepth or Normals elements that shows some kind of representation the effect the DOF is having on the scene. I was thinking it could be helpful in production so you don't have to wait for the render to clean up before seeing how areas of the scene are being affected.

[Max] I need help! / Re: The Magic Of Caustics
« on: 2017-11-16, 14:18:50 »
Hey guys, thanks for the help.  Setting the Max Sample Intensity to 100 did the trick, I was using this material on windows and glass doors that are across the room so ill probably just leave it off in this instance but thanks anyway at least i now know how to fix it.

[Max] I need help! / The Magic Of Caustics
« on: 2017-11-14, 16:04:41 »
Hi guys,
Today I've been working on making some of my basic materials a bit more detailed, I've noticed that when i turn caustics on a glass material the object completely occludes the light as if it were non transparent. Ive attached a before and after of ythe direct lighting pass but the same thing happens in all the passes where you'd expect (/not expect) to see it. Any Ideas Guys?

All the best

I don't have any screen shots hand but I've found this problem to occur with any material and yep its all mapped properly, the same thing happens with a UWW map and when unwrapped.

[Max] I need help! / ANISOTROPY NOISE
« on: 2017-06-16, 16:50:38 »
Hey Guys,
So I've noticed that by just changing the anisotropy value on a materiel any object with that materiel applied will render noisy, even with the de-noise on. In the exact same scene with the exact same material and setting, just with the anisotropy set to 0 will render fine and with the normal amount of noise expected but as soon as the value is set to something other that 0 there's an excessive amount of noise that just doesn't seem to clean up no matter how long it render for.

I just wanted to ask if anyone else has come across this and if there are any work around's.
Cheers Guys

Yep that did it, thank you.

Hey Guys,

So I've just upgraded to deadline 1.6 and now whenever I try to submit a job to deadline, the submission freezes on:

">Submitting All Frames In One Job..."

I've tested this with both an existing scene which yesterday submitted fine and I've tried with a fresh new scene and I've tried both as single frame renders and as animations and nothing is working. The only thing on the machine to change is the version of corona so I'm pretty confident its the corona update. And I can't open the log because it wont open until the submission completes. If it helps I'm running Deadline 8.0.12.4.

Thanks In advance.

[Max] I need help! / Double Glazing render times
« on: 2017-01-09, 14:11:52 »
Hi guys, new to the forums but I've been using corona for a little over a year now. In an effort to make my scenes more realistic I've tried to use double glazed glass where applicable but on the exact same render using the same workstation the render times have increased from 14 hours for 50 passes to a little over 24 hours for the same number of passes. I obviously expected some increase in render time but that was well above what I was expecting. So I wanted to see if anyone on here has experienced this and what you awesome guys have done to get around this?
