[C4D] I need help! / HDR vs Physical SKY

Hello Guys...Corona user since Corona 4...
I'm approaching to get some archiviz animations request from some clients, exteriors and interiors scene.
Often I'm using the Physical Sky for exteriors and some HDRIs for interiors render.

About Interior renders, what do you think is it the best way between HDR or Physical sky to avoid noise and long render times?
You know Corona Render is settings free and I would like to find some tricks to speedup render process.
Usually I don't touch anything from advanced settings so render times is not a problem right now, but during animations putting Flicker free GI get some times to render a single frames...setting the noise level is a good way but I don't know if there are some settings to put down...

Any tips?

Hello to all, I found another annoying issue about ToneMap control shaders applied to a physical material to the background...
Below what happen with and without tone map control into the material...(without tone map you need to adjust camera exposure settings)

Latest C4D and corona render

[EDIT] seems to be the "ACES" that give this strange square splotch on the background...if you disable it the problem is gone...

Hello to all, I noticed on my renders (latest release of corona) some strange squares on walls.
No overlapping polygons and nothing else on the scene.

If I turn off the "adaptive light solver" the squares goes away...
Any tips?

EDIT:

find the solution. Seems to be the TONE MAP CONTROL shaders into the Panoramic photo on outside of the apartment, if I toggle the shader all squares disappears...I think there is a sort of bug here.

To avoid continuous Interactive Rendering start and stop, I would like to see the animated material preview (streaming files or movie into the material channel) during time line movement...

It would be great if the tone map control shader works if placed into the shadow catcher material for perfect video and photo compositing.
In this way we can achieve great result with compositing.

ok, I think that this shader need some improvements...

Im projecting the tile shader on a wall with OBJECT mapping (not world or uvw)....how does it works the tiles movement? How I can move tiles? I searched everywhere but seems impossible to do...
Ideas?

Hello! I played with Corona Tile shader...pretty good for me, but a question: how can I see the viewport preview? due to a technical reasons I need to see it into the viewport instead of interactive rendering...

Reading some topics here about using or not the Corona Bitmap Shader, I tried to convert a scene created without bitmap shader and changed all scene materials with Corona Bitmap...
I got the same render times...what do you think about?

Any tips or suggestions?

Hello to all, I noticed on some scene that if I click onto an object on the object manager, Corona refreshes the VFB. This happen when I click into a tag, object name, material icon without make a real action.
On some scene it doesn't happens...and I can click everywhere without see the VFB refreshing...

It is there a special situation that Corona doesn't refresh the VFB?

Usually when I create an interiors rendering I put a simple panel outside the scene with Light Material. To avoid to make shadows into the room I put a compositing Tag onto it but, see what happens on Corona 10 instead of Corona 9 where the functionality works fine...

EDIT: I noticed that if I uncheck "emit light" into the light material the shadow are deactivated without using the TAG...some behaviour are chanced I think...🧐

Hello to all,

recently updated Cinema4D to 2024 and Corona 10 latest release.
Today I'm starting a new project for a client of mine, and I noticed a strange behaviour of the curtain (with translucency turned on) and the mirror...as you can see there are many splotch on the reflected one...the curtain has two surface due to a roll curtain shape...so I have two surfaces with the same material.
The problem is gone if I turn off one of them...
Ideas?

[C4D] I need help! / Edge Trimming strange behaviour

Dear All,

I'm trimming some large branch of flower from cosmos browser...I got a strange behaviour..
As you can see into the pictures below, if I put the edge trimming shader into the opacity some branch doesn't goes away...If I put the opacity value to 0%, all branch will be deleted...
Why? I missed something?

Hello guys, a quick question about distance shader (never tried for a busy period)
Does distance shader control and fade the displacement on a surface?

Example: a floor covered with snow (displaced). Can I fade it near objects or near the house?

tomorrow morning I take a look to the new Corona Render 10 on my windows machine with latest C4D release.
I was trying the new clouds color model and camera size settings, so I created a simple scene with a sky with clouds and sun as well.
I got continue C4D windows freezing with interactive rendering during the calculation of the second GI...every time...I killed the app...
I installed on the PC due to test, I not installed yet on my production machines.

Anyone experience freezing?
I tried with simple scene and a complex scene underwater, many second GI freezes....

Hello Guys, I'm using Cinema since first release and Corona since public beta. I know very well the multi-pass cinema4D system but is far different from Corona Render or similar render engines due to technology.
Do you have a tips how to quickly export a render with white background such an industrial product or simple object on a photo-stage but with transparent floor shadows?
I do some project two years ago with some multi-pass shadows and some photoshop action with special overlay but right now I have not enough time to make experiment and I would like to hit the results in few steps.
