hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me, been searching, but cant find it.

I have multiple objects that make up one object that is Grouped. that I want to create into a cproxy with corona render. but when it says pick object it only picks one off the objects instead of the whole group of objects that makeup that object set.

as weve loaded the Corona 1.0 with licence and all the lights show many lines.

how to turn off the lights showing many lines or rays in 3dsmax using corona lights.

hi
Im new to Proxy objects and 3dsmax.

so far Ive been able to make one palm tree a proxy - I selected it and exported as proxy. not sure if this is the right way either.
 tried corona proxy but couldnt select in scene.
using Corona 7.1

now Ive copied it Clone - and used reference. or instance.

now is this how Im supposed to use it correctly - to create plently palm trees in the scene, without making my file too large , and help speed up rendering? sorry  if its a dumb question.

any help please. ...or point me to a good tutorial for this. thanx

cost of animation - it depends on the scene and each frame being rendered and your render settings.
ive used bucket renderings of 10/6 and its about $1.20 per frame with A6 version
and ive recently used 6/4 and its about $.50 per frame both at 1280x720 size. with A7 version.

you can give it a free tree the fox render gives $20 free for testing purposes.

yes you have to start back burner on your Computer First as the Manager.
then start backburner "Server" on the slaves .

funny thing I had to enter their names in the LAN as wasnt picking it up, and it would still say Fail in the rendering...but it will work and start the rendering on the slave machines.
that was for A6 havent used A7 to test that yet...

Does anyone know if you can render bucket , or progressive for One Still image using all the slave machines?????
....I didnt find an answer since some one asked already somewhere in the forum.

hi guys thank you all for your responses, sorry been flat out trying to work everything out and learn everything at the same time to meet deadlines. actually took the advice to render on fox renderfarm, and just kept it at same settings, didnt have time to do changes and just shot it at them so I can get the frames, was also first time doing the whole animation thing, and put it into adobe aftereffects. Fox renders turned out the frames  pretty good. and so boss is happy ..still have to doing more work.
but all in a great render .

was wondering if I install this new version Corona A7 will it affect my whole setup in my current projects? maybe should wait and continue to use A6.

hi all

Im doing an interior scene with bucket rendering for a short animation.

my question is im not sure if Im doing this right, cos not sure of the settings.

i did a quick render with 480x270 size with all default settings PT + HD.

Bucket rendering settigings:
initial samples 10
Passes: 6
adaptive threshold: 0.03

its ok for a test, so I want to do it in higher res. and size of 1280x720 for final animation sequence.
now im doing a test render of just one frame and its taking almost 2-3 hours for just one frame,
as the 480x270 were rendering frames at approx. 50mins each frame.

Im not sure about this bucket rendering settings, as im use to using the progressive, but I read bucket is better for animation as renders out the frames quicker.

any help  please . thanx
