Hi guys,

seems the staff of aws thinkbox have posted the fix for the customize.ms script in the repository, check in the next link:

https://forums.thinkboxsoftware.com/t/deadline-3ds-max-2022-python-exception/28039/65

I have not tested the fix yet, but soon I'll do.

Greetings!

Hi Guys,

I'm experiencing the same problem with deadline and Corona Renderer 7 using 3ds Max 2022. It seems that reset settings works and I noticed that with just change from UHD Cache to Path Tracing the render goes normally. Someone else can confirm if that works for you too?

Kind regards...

So far I was able to reproduce results which are a bit odd, but I am not sure if it's the same thing as the original report. I do not know whether "SSS" or "volumetric scattering" mode should be used here, as both are mentioned in the description.
I would need to at least see the material setup. A scene would be even better.

Any chance to get this solved? Right now the only solution is to render using Path Tracing for primary and secondary GI solvers, but I think it's taking long render times.

Kind regards...

Hi Maru,

So sorry for the super late reply on this. I have uploaded the files through dropbox uploader. Let me know if you have it!

Kind regards...

I forget to mention that the problem is present in the Corona Renderer 5 as well in the new Corona Renderer 6.

[Max] Bug Reporting / Issues with Light exclussion and SSS
« on: 2020-09-11, 20:06:25 »
Hello,

I have been having trouble rendering using SSS in Volumetric Scattering mode. In my project I have to light some layers of foam in an ambient way, but to improve the detail level of the fabric surfaces I make use of the inclusion of direct light from two Corona Lights exclusively for the fabric or top of the bed. The problem is that when I activate the lights by excluding everything except the fabric, vertical lines appear on all the materials that have SSS activated. The problem gets worse when I use Deadline Jigsaw, because even though I do a pre-calculation of UHD Cache, the cuts of each render region are noticeable.

I hope I have been clear about this problem and that it can be solved as soon as possible, since currently the only viable solution is to render the top cloth separately and in composition join both results.

Hi,

With regards to the "strip of pixels" this is most likely caused by a small bug with the "High Quality" image filtering. I would recommend switching to the "Tent" image filter where this bug is not present.

I'm not sure I understand the other issue however, could you provide some more detail please?

Rowan

Hi Rowan,

Thanks for you reply I'll try this. But I noticed also that rendering using 3ds max regions do the last 2048px square in the 12K image in right way!

I'll be back after have tested your solution to see if that works!

Kind regards...

Hi,

I'm having problems trying to render using a camera in Cube Map 360° mode and using the deadline jigsaw utility. Since the final image to be assembled is more than 12K pixels, I prefer to render it in parts to reduce the memory usage, to be able to render other projects in my computers faster, since the rendering times of each region would be shorter and so this would be more agile to process all the other rendering processes by assigning them different levels of priority.

I have noticed that the dimensions of each region and the final image do match in the specified size, but each view frame in the cube map does not match. I have also noticed that it adds a strip of several pixels that is very evident when assembling the VR. This only happens when using the camera in Cube Map 360° mode. I have made renders using the camera as standard and the jigsaw deadline utility without any problem.

I hope you can see this as soon as possible, as I have to have all my images rendered as soon as possible.

In next a sample images of the first result I got in 12K and 6K, I also colored the region squares!

Hi Guys. Here I want to show a video I have done and was featured previously by AXYZ Design in their front page. But this time using VRay, Corona and Ureal Engine as renderers of the same scene. In this one thanks to Datasmith Plugin can handle the scene betwen 3dsmax 2 UE. Hope you like it...

Software: Anima, Datasmith, Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, VRay, Corona.

I think you got too many people in there... they are really creeping me out with how close they are too each other. I'm finding it is distracting me from looking at the room itself. This is especially true since 90% of them are blonde and are noticeably cloned (it feels like I am watching Hitler's wet dream).

But other than that the space looks solid! Great attention to detail in the ceiling and the concrete materials look fantastic.

hahahaha... I laughed a lot with your comment about "Hitle's wet dream"... Thanks for you comment I will have it in mind for future projects!...

Hi Guys...

Long time without post in this forum... Here another Interior Concept design work done for 3D Visualization. This time we are trying to achieve more realistic look and using Corona Renderer. Hope you like it and as always C&C are welcome.

Thanks guys for you reply... Yes seems mutiscatter works but take diferent result in each render time or computer where you put to calculate why when is calculated in a single computer seems works fine...

Here I have a question... Maybe i do somthing wrong or maybe the shader I use is not compatible but seems have problems when apply the Multitexture plugin for make random textures with floor generator from http://www.cg-source.com/ ...

I was trying to do less noisy image of this renders and put to render it in Net render for be calculated betwen 4 computers and all goes well... except the floor that have that plugin applied... If the plugin is not supported would be great in the next version had that feature incluided...

I attach too the image i was tryin to render (raw renders)...

close up of the problem...

Best regards...
