I believe the forest colour map works, but not forest material.

Just for the sake of converting scenes, it would be great if it could be supported.

Although I do prefer the new method for moving the corona sun around, I do sometimes miss being able to type in the angle... what about having both?

It would serve as a handy reminder to what your vertical sun angle is, and you could type it in as well for more accurate control.

If this isnt clear I'll try and explain it better

apologies if this has already been covered (the search function seems to be down this morning).

Is there any way to convert or render an animated vray proxy? the animated vray proxy displays fine in the viewport, and renders the first frame (when set to display whole mesh mode) but doesnt render the rest of the frames.

Just a little suggestion, when rendering with DR, it would be nice to know in the stats how many passes each node has contributed.

can anyone help me with a leather texture? I always struggle with leather. Reference attached. Currently the material is very simple, glossiness 0.6 and a low amount of non fresnel reflection (20). The modeling and bump maps are pretty detailed though.

Should there be fresnel or falloff reflection? multi layered reflections? mapped glossiness?

was going to try rendering this in corona, but having problems with corona going a bit crazy in memory usage despite my earlier tests (will try to find the thread in a sec)

I even got a rather amusing error message: "WTF bad allocation" or something like that ;)

any tips or anything I could try?

Another old project, mostly going to use this to test Forest Pack I think, very interested to see how Corona deals with s&%* loads of geometry!

One thing I havent got the hang of is displacement. In vray I tend to use the vraydisplacementmod in 2d mode, then use the shift function to bring exploded faces back together. How do I do that in corona, and how do I control quality of displacement in general?

Hi everyone,

This is an old project of mine, and seeing as it is very simple I thought it would be a nice easy start for trying out corona. Each one got to about 200 samples i think or passes, or whatever its called ;) and took about 2 hrs.

So... how do I get access to nightlies then!
