[C4D] General Discussion / Re: HDRI Illumination
« on: 2016-11-11, 11:57:24 »
It always worked with the c4d sky object.
But i have a different question. Not sure if its a bug or im doing something wrong.
Wenn i put the HDR in the diffuse channel and put the c4d filter on top, to play with the gamma, my HDR renders just grey. If i lower the exposure i see the sky texture, but the is almost no lighting.
Somehow the c4d filter is turing the HDR in a simple 8 bit texture.
Can somebody reproduce this?
I have to add, that i build the scene with corona A5.1 and the problem just occured with my 2nd mashine with Corona A4.2, i then upgraded this mashine to A6.2 and it didnt change.

Can anybody confirm, the crash of 4.1 when using the C4D Noise Shader?

im sorry for that short post before.
I already checkt mantis and this forum here, and it seems like this bug i not know yet. So i would like to know if i should take some time and check whats worng with this issue.
The Issue:
The c4d Layer shader does some strange stuff, if u use it to combine several procedual noise shaders. In particular all contrasts are gone, and it just looks realy bad compared to AR.
I did not have time to test this properly though.

+ 1 for that

haha, THX! Sometimes its probably better to use the search funktion. (Especially if u waste one whole day on that issue)

Hi all,

i noticed some strange behaviour of my wood Material.
Its almost as if the reflection Channel turned dark at the Spot where my HDRI Light hits the geomtrie. And that just if i have my glass layer is switched on.
In my Channels the realy dark part is in the Direkt Light Channel though.

The Material is pretty standart, nohting fancy, AND looks good all over the Scene.
There is no problem with my geomtrie, how i said, if u turn off my glass layer everything seems decent.

My setup, is just one HDRI (1739 ) as light source, gamma 0.9, in the Diffuse channel.
The Glass material is just standart with IOR 1.52 in both reflection and refraction. Just geometry wise its quite heavy with 2 solids both at 0.5 cm thickness and 1cm appart.

Thanks for ur Help!

I use R15 and A3 btw.

Maybe, if its not already mentioned, A materials system like in Vray4c4d, with 3 - 4 reflection channels to make more complex reflections?

here you go.   Its the most basic setup.  Would be interesting if u realy cannot reproduce this.

@burnin

i just used the bumb channel, no diffuse at all. Try it again, and if u need the scene i can upload it.

I tried all settings, lowerd the blure scale, raised it, changed the blur offset, changed the sampling (interpolation) but unfortunately without any changes.

Thx for your fast Reply Maru.

I tried  "Box" "Tent" And "None" with different values, but i seems like  it doent affect my problem.

Im not sure what u men with "lowering "blur" value for image filtering" though.

Sorry

Hey folks,

now, im quite new to corona, and i dont know if this is known / intendet or already solved, but im pretty bordert by this.

Somehow straight bumb lines are expanding in distance. I probably never noticed cause i never had a project with pavements.
I already tryed it with different bumbmaps procedual and not, always the same result.
In vray it seems to work fine though.

Any suggestions?

BTW: I love corona, and im very crateful for this awsome renderer, seriously :)

Greets

Stephan
