I think 1.6 f-stop is also too much. Maybe 5.6 would work better.
In interior photography it's usually in f8 - f16 range. Photographers would love to go even higher if not diffraction toll. In close up shots you can open aperture up to f2.8 - f4 when you want shallow dof. And f1.4 - f 2 range may work well for portraits, but not for interiors.

I'm affraid it's not Corona's fault. It's due to the fact that time in 3ds max is discrete. There's only 4800 segments per second, so called ticks. Usually it's enough, but when things starts to move really fast, discreteness starts to show its ugly head. I had encounter same problem some time ago: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,3171.msg23849.html#msg23849 However sollution is easy - lower speed of moving object, decrease shutter speed, like you already said.

I'm a new max user, mostly a MODO and maya guy so I don't know if I can help. I think you'll have to open up each max scene and save out a .mat file or put them all into 1 .mat file. You'll probably want to organize your folder hierarchy and map paths ahead of time. Experienced max users, is this the correct workflow?

This isn't necessary, one can import materials directly from max files. In Import Material Library dialog change type of files to .max and pick needed max file.

Most likely, you accidently created more than one CoronaSun object. Look for light objects in scene explorer and see if there's several Sun objects. Then simply delete all but one.

On taking UI screenshot, Corona closes down all rollouts. Also i don't like how it spams folder with bunch of small pictures. Maybe it's possible to reduce number of screenshots to three - one for separate tabs? And if possible, it would be nice to get proper naming on those files, rather than simple numbers. And what is purpose of java script file that is saved with pics? And lastly, i think it would be better to save to indexed colour / optimized palette png's instead of RGBA 24bit.


i think I'm alone here, in mean that I like the previous ui design with some button to hide and show the setup I need. but I see dollmaker like it too. :) do we have a chance to make a vote to that ui? somekind a big matter for me reminding it's simplicity.
Yeah, voting would be interesting to see, but i would vote for current UI, although i liked switches UI a lot.

Can you test that scene with latest daily build (2015-01-29)? If you have access to dailies that is.

One little thing, though, if VFB gets resized to smallest possible size, there's quite bold border left around render area.

With incorrect scale, you'll have problems with everything - lighting, materials, physics... there's almost no excuse to model in incorrect scale.
