Hi Team Corona,

I have had random crashes (only while working on simple things, not rendering) on V7 for the last week. I have reverted to R6 and no crashes so defo V7. I'm using R23, Windows 10 Pro, Intel i9 10th Gen, 64 GB and RTX 2080. Have a good weeeeeeeekend team :-) John

Hi Team Corona,

HAPPY FRIDAY! I flagged a issue using Corona texture libraries from 3d party vendors. We did work out it had some problems with displacements. Only in IR window, not in final render. I can confirm from my end this is now fixed. Good work team :-)

Hi Team Corona,

When I use the interactive renderer objects are missing/not visible. I have to keep switching them on and off and have lots of them missing. Renders fine in final output but I'm tweaking lights and it is taking a long time having to send them as full renders. Is this a fix or should I go back to a previous version?

Hi Team Corona and HAPPY NY!

Love the new daily build with PBR textures. I do have an issue, it is randomly crashing my PC without bug report. Not happened before so assume it is the latest version. I run Windows 10 Pro, C4D R23, 64gb and intel core i9 10th gen. Sorry I can't supply a bug report on this. John

Hi Forum & Hope You Are All Well,

I'm working on a personal project and have a table cloth with two fabric textures applied. One is applied over the whole cloth with flat projection the other the same but with a alpha channel and displacement to give the look of a thicker fabric. I am not totally happy with the scale of the bump and displacements. How do I get to control the scale of the fabric maps individually? Probably really simple but I am struggling. I tried using layered material but decided to apply them one on top of each other. Is this the best way? Thank you for any help :-) John

Hi Support,

I got my new C4D R23 today and trying to install Corona. It runs the installer but it is not in C4D R23. I have R20 with Corona installed and works ok. Probably something really simple. I did try and select the R23 plugin folder for path but this does not work either. Thanks, John :-)

Hi Support forum!

Hope you are all well & safe. Not 100% sure if this is a Corona problem. I recently switched my main workstation to Windows 10 Pro (64GB Ram, Intel Core 9, 10th Gen, RTX2080). When I send jobs to Team Render, both my Macs keep going off-line and need to keep re-activating them in the TR Machines window. All my animations keep missing frames because of this and need to re-render small sections again. REALLY annoying and time-consuming. Does anyone else have the same problem? These are not big animations, only 300 frames with very simple setups. Have a good weekend all :-) John.

I am doing a logo intro for a friend with the letters rotating 360 degrees using twist deformer. For some reason the 'stick texture' tag is not sticking the texture. Not sure if this is a Corona or C4D thing? Any help? Thanks :-)

I have a store I previously rendered with C4D's standard renderer using AO. The store has hundreds of ceiling lights. With C4D's standard renderer each frame took round 3-4 mins. I am trying to convert this project for Corona but it is taking way too long to render. Does anyone have any tips on this? How to fake the lighting maybe? I tried applying a corona light material to each light but it is obviously not the right approach. The scene has a lot of product bays, but they are all render instances. Any help would be massively appreciated! John :-)

I switched form Mac to PC last month and new to Windows10. Should I use some kind of overclocking app to maximise the CPU rendering? I have a Aero17 with a Intel i9 10th Gen processor and Nvidia 2080RTX Studio GPU. Any advise would be appreciated :-) John

I have just made the switch from Mac to PC and was wondering if anyone had some advise if I should do or tune anything to optimise it for render speed with Corona. I am struggling a bit to get my old Macs recognised by my new Aero17 but will get there. Any advise would be warmly welcome 🙏😎👍 John

Hi Support!

Hope you are all well in these testing times🙏. I am stuck indoors and set myself a architectural project to wow my clients with. Unfortunately it's become too complex to render on my 3 Macs (only 16Gb per Mac). I can render them at 1280 x 720px but not at 1920 x 1080px. My Mac runs out of memory and pauses C4D. I have stripped back all apps so only finder and C4D are running. The scene is very complex with trees, plants house objects and a texture folder with 1.27GB (470 items).

What is my best option to get this to render. To reduce polygon count or amount of textures? Many Thanks, John 😎👍

Hi Team Corona!

Hope you are all well considering the corona break out🙏. Got a really simple request... I have a bad habit of pressing the 'Stop Render' in the C4D render viewer for some reason, I am dyslectic (not making a excuse by the way!). Is it possible to have this ask if you want to stop the render before committing? It's probably only me who does this but happens so much! I take FULL responsibility for my trigger happy finger but would be helpful to scream NO! I did not mean to press this. Take care and keep up the good work team! John :-)

Hi Forum!

I am working on a personal piece and have a trail of stones trailing in and out of some graff lettering using mograph for the stones. I am trying to use the multi shader to create random stone textures on all the stones to make it look more natural. I have created a set of 8 textures with all channels (defuse, spec, normal and displacement). I cant add these textures into the slots in the multi shader, only a image. Should I use the shared material here and if so, how do I set this up? I have included a test render. Also, is there a way to render out DOF as a mask or layer? I use z-depth pass a lot but would like to have a true DOF pass as well as a normal in one render. Many thanks!

I am trying to create feathers on wings using Corona Hair. Is there a way to manipulate the hair to follow the wing instead of just pointing straight out? Many Thanks, John :-)
