I'm buying a laptop to use mostly Corona Renderer, right now i have a 5950x on my PC which mostly does what i need in terms of project scale and render times. so i wanted something with similar capabilities on a laptop.
I looked up and found that intel 13900hx and Ryzen 7945hx are the models that are within 2,000$ range. i know that 13900hx has only 8 performance cores, 16 efficiency cores , 32 Threats, meanwhile 7945hx has 16 P cores, 32 Threats.
i'm not very good at this but from my knowledge 7945hx is better, but i might be missing something. I would appreciate detailed answer on which would fit my needs?

PS, 13900hx is on a legion pro 7 and 7945hx is on an Asus rog g17

I have been seeing this error in Corona 9 in some of my old scenes, I have attached it below. never experienced it in Corona 8 or older. the annoying thing is when the scene is opened, Corona is not set as default Renderer and upon setting Corona as the Renderer, it obviously resets all Render setup and frame buffer settings to defaults, so I lose the settings. is there anyway to fix this problem?

I'm using an image on a plane with light material as the background image for an interior design, when normally rendered there is a problem with some reflections in surfaces. i know the reason is the Visible in refections tick in light material options. i want it to be visible in reflections, how do i fix it? the problem is only present on few surfaces like the wood in attached picture

[Max] I need help! / Exclude object from environment light

The caption pretty much says it, how do i exclude some objects form environment lighting just like simple Corona light include/exclude feature? found some old topics in the forum which showed that Corona Renderer didn't have this feature back then, is it available yet?

[Max] I need help! / Data Decompression Failed

Hello,
when we  do our renders using Boxx Apext T3 (uses Corona 6). when renders are finished and saved as CXR, upon opening the CXR file, we get this error ( Data Decompression Fialed) for like half of our renders. the render elements cxr work just fine, it's just the main render with this problem.
PS, We have 3 computers , 2 of them use Corona 6 and 1 uses Corona 5.2. this error has been showing ever since we upgraded to Corona 6.

Hello everyone

I have started doing interiors, and I'm facing this problem when I use curtains to cover windows, I'm not sure how to balance HDRI, Sun , Exposure and Highlight compress. i want some light to come from the windows and lit up my interior, but when i achieve the desired lighting by increasing sun intensity which in fact is low 0.005 , the curtain material gets burned out even if highlight compress is on 999. I try increasing expsure but still it burns out the curtain material. when curtain is ok the scene is too dark. i'm trying to compare it to real life in my living room when curtrains cover up the window the space looks decently lit and a little bit of burn outs in windows. but in my render it's just way to much burn out comparing to amout of light inside? any suggestions on which takes priority exposure, light intensity?

Hello

Is there anyway to show final results for maps like (Corona Multi Map, Corona UVW randomizer...) in viewport without having to render them?

Hello,
I've been struggling with this problem ever since i started using corona a year ago, mostly when i use HDRI or something else in  reflection override in Render Settings, some or most of reflective surfaces like mirrors or car paint or chrome material gets too noisy  and many fireflies appear even at low noise level, that picture on left noise level is around 1.8% i don't think it that material is supposed to look like that

[Max] I need help! / How can I hide geometry in Reflections
« on: 2020-06-07, 22:56:56 »
Hello,
I'm creating a reflective surface which i don't want it to reflect anything else except the HDRI that i have assigned to reflection override in environment section.
as shown in picture below, I don't want that Reflective sphere to show anything else except that HDRI sky in it which is assigned to reflection override.
I'm not familiar with rayswitch Material but i think it's possible with it, but assume those pink balls are a variety of complex object with different materials, would it still be done in rayswitch material
