This is one of the possibilities. When this was first mentioned about a year ago, I though it was not possible, but now I am not so sure. But first I need to know how much money I will need and what will be the timeframe. One of the reasons to go on the break is to plan this out. It might be even possible that we'll be able to finance most of it from our own sources. There are also some negotiations with some big companies (don't worry, no autodesk ;)), so we will see ;)

That will not give me inner reflections :) And there will be still refraction on edges... That will not result in Twosided glass as known from mentalray or Corona

I actually never found a way to get 2sided glass effect in Vray. If someone knows a way, i would appreciate it. :) I tried plugging glass material in Vray2sided, but i got some crazy results :)

Only one way - use fresnel falloff in opacity. Not use refraction. And increase ior for more visible reflections.

there will be some bug fixes for bump in the next release, it is possible you have encountered some old bug

I know - had read about it bug in forum. But i'm confused because the curtain with bump 5 has run clean.
I'll make more tests.

Something worries me - bump in curtains is '5' and looking good, but in sofa i had making bump '1' or getting more noise and artefacts. Sorry if it was early discussed

i found same bug with curtain - helped only "shell" too.
But curtain was with self-intersection polygons and i thought that cause in bad modeling

First of all, great thanks you, Ondra, for Corona - its a great renderer.)

Have a question: pause before starting render - is it my mistake or its alpha's bug?
All old corona's files in max's dir was deleted before copying new alpha's files.
Scene was merged in new. And got that pause(((

Time: 0:4:33, Rays/s: 4,649,422

CPU rate is 4,5 Ghz (overlock), but Benchmark detected 3,4 Ghz
