Hi. I did a render of a low-poly surgical lamp, and noticed two artifacts in the image. 1 small pixel-artifact (which I've experienced before) and the yellow halo on the background. Im not sure if it's an artifact, but the material on the wall has rounded corners enabled, but there are no edge at that point; the models are intersecting eachother. That render is actually 3800 passes..

Is the wall/ceiling slightly glossy?

Yes! I believe the wall has a glossiness of about 0,7 and somewhat grey-white reflection color so that's correct and I believe the ceiling has very very low reflectivity/refl. glossiness settings..

then this behavior is most likely normal - since the normal changes smoothly at the ceiling, it is picking some highlights from the scene

I re-rendered a few passes of the same view, but disabled all reflection and rounded corner-settings on both shaders. Seems to me the problem still presents itself? Also, you can see how the two objects intersects..

OT: What sites do people usually upload images from on this forum? Im not used to BB code bus afaik I cant upload images straight from my PC?

That looks like leak. There's a tiny gap between the geometry. Just seal it by moving verticles so the two objects or faces overlap.

That's what I tried to pinpoint in the image I posted; the faces already do overlap. The ceiling the one in seethrough shading (alt+x) and the other is the beam.

cap holes if there is any(only if you have open polygons) if that doesn't sort this problem out try adding shell modifier to the ceiling if it's plane...

ok, the single pixel is probably some random reflection and is therefore normal. The light leaks - could you send me the scene? https://corona-renderer.com/upload/
