Wow, forum is really on fire today :)

I really like the dark floor :) It has a nice clean solid look to it :)

What was the average rendertime?

Hi Rawalanche

Thanks!!!

Rendertimes: too long, average: 8 hours on my workstation i7 3970
I couldn't make use of my renderslave, because for some reason BackBurner wouldn't render my file. So lucky there still exist something like Batch Render.

It would be nice if Corona will work on http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/xeon/xeon-phi-detail.html. Then Corona will stand out over all the GPU Render solutions.

Hi Roland

A lot of info, do's and dont's I have found on this forum.
Post from Keymaster, Rawalance, Juraj and others learned me a lot, so thanks guys (I presume your all boys :-) )

In general my render settings are:
PT samples=32
Max Sample Intensity 400

Lights
Samples Multiplier 8

Pass limit:100

Tent
Width1,333

Arf...
Thanks Belly
These guys are of course my favorite readings at this moment too, and i have tried, since my beginnings (a week ago) a lot of solutions.
I'm trying yours but it seems that it is a very "loud" one, those settings are eaters in render time no ?
Thanks again !

With MSI20 and PT 16-24 , it should be even faster. MSI 400 is overkill anyway. Even 100 is "useless".
In some specific cases, you can raise MSI to heaven but average interior scene, default value works great.

I think so michaltimko.
I've tried your settings Belly and it's evident that the quality is totally different.
On the same scene (3000*1500pix), 100 passes, 3h with my settings and 5h with yours. I had a lot of noise at the beginning and purely nothing with yours. The contrast was better too.
I'm trying now with less PT and MSI.
I'm still a great fan of your work Belly :)
Thanks

Hi all

Yes it could be that my settings are overkill, but the fact is that I didn't had the time to expirement a lot. I started learning corona 2,5 weeks ago.
I had some troubles with fire flies and couldn't make use of my renderslave because BB didn't accept the job. I just wanted to be sure to have proper images on time..................deadline........aargh
So I choose for high settings and let the images render overnight.
Oh yes, average size of the images 3200x2136px

@michaltimko many thanks for the advice, in the meanwhile I figured out that 100 pases is way to much :-)
@RolandB: merci beaucoup !

cheers

Johan

One thing that I think would help would be a detail  or skirting between the walls and floor. Looking great though

Bah... Belly you're killing me. Your renders are amazing.
This last is really good too... except the carpet, too flat for me.
Congrats for all your work and tips

Lucky it is not always architecture we are visualizing.
We (Midge and I) made this product animation. Rendered with alpha 7.2.

Very nice final renders. I especially loved the forged rails. ;)
