Hi
today i was using decals and i want to makea curve on one decal i am using, so i tried to use FFD object on it to do the curve, when i did it in the editor worked but when i render i dont see it... is there any solution to use FFD on decals or other way to deform the decal?

AFAIK no way to deform the decal, it is always a simple cube.

Hi there, what exactly are you trying to do? Decals conforms to surfaces, if you want to curve it why not project it to an already curved surface? It can't be applied to modifiers but it can work with them ;)

Hi

Well the thing is i recieved the model already done, it is a road, now we have the white guides in the midle of the road right? so i have a decal with this white guide to put in the midle of the stree but the street have one part that is curve and i wanted the white guide to be curve too (i dont have/found a decal curved), so i tried the FFD to curve the decal worked but in the render nothing happen... i wanted a simple way to do it without need to re-model the street with the white guides. :)
regards

Rather than try to do the white line with one decal, could try using Scatter along a spline to place multiple decals, though that might only work with a dashed rather than solid line as the solid line would not be a smooth curve.

Yes, only a dashed white line would work. This is not really a use case for decals from how you describe it, not the kind of thing they are intended for, and other solutions (make a spline renderable; create a texture for it, either generated from the scene and saved out or painted manually) would be the way to go. Decals are more about smaller, local features that follow their own UV (e.g. to add potholes onto this road, or to add singular STOP markings here and there) and not about having textures follow along the shape of a more complex geometry.
