Hi guys,
since i work both with vray and corona there are things that i miss a lot from vray.
Very important for us, from perspective of a small studio.

Request #3: Bucket rendering + cryptomatte implementation

Bucket rendering saves RAM and makes cryptomatte masks great tool to use. I would also like to see 'by material' option for cryptomatte (as in vray)

In its current state, even interiors that are not THAT complex are so ram-hungry that on render slaves with 128GB we are getting out of memory style errors. Exterior wise cryptomatte is completely unusable, because of RAM.

Request #2: Render elements behind glass / refractive surfaces.

This is a real show-stopper; in cases you have glass surface in front of your camera you can forget about compositing render elements in postproduction.
In its current state, only masks can be made visible, not elements.

Request #1: Resumable render that works with network rendering (as v-ray has)

Working on large projects with hi resolution imagery, or rendering sequences we miss this feature a LOT!
Current state does not work at all in network environment, local render farm etc.

Hi all,
here is my first try with Corona renderer, so far I like it!
May I sign somewhere to test the dailies, or is the beta testing closed?

.jozef

PS: lemme know what you think! Corona settings default ( except of LMS color space I used ), render time 8h 30smthing minutes at 4000x3000.
