Soft furnishings, cushions etc.
(1/1)
jrgby:
I'd really like to know how people are adding cushions and other soft-body items to their scenes.
I'm talking about realistically slumped and creased and conforming somewhat to the furniture so that they look natural.
Are there good models available somewhere?
I can only find poor quality or overly creased/ugly models that are difficult to reshape.
Are people modelling them from scratch?
I've tried doing a few things in tyFlow which is ok for some simple curtains, but the free versions excludes self-collisions for cloth so have found a bit limiting.
Any pointers would be much appreciated!

People will either model them from scratch and then add details in the likes of Zbrush.
Or they'll use Marvelous Designer - https://www.marvelousdesigner.com/
Or they'll possibly use a combination of all 3.

I didn't want to open a different thread about this.
I was also looking into this, as mentioned, zbrush (or similar sculpture/modelling focused apps) and marvelous designer are some of solutions.
I tried marvelous designer years ago, it was kinda hard to learn/master, I don't know about current situation of the app.
Personally I run into this one : https://mariussilaghi.com/products/clothify-pro
I was curious does anyone in the forum had experience with it?
