Not sure what you guys have done to the VFB but it's slow as hell in Corona 10, well it is for me anyway.

All I'm trying to do is delete tone mapping operators, it takes ages after right clicking for the 'delete' option to appear, then it takes ages for it to turn blue so you can actually click it.  Then when you successfully click it, it appears to be pot luck as to whether it actually deletes or not.

It's really really buggy, here's a link to quick screen recording, this is realtime not slowed down or sped up.

It takes an age to respond to clicks, when it does respond sometimes it adds the item, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes when you delete an item it leave a space in the UI - notice how the + option disappears to add another operator, the space then disappears if you hover over something else, sometimes the space gets filled with a duplicate - notice how the bloom and glare header appears twice, sometimes other elements of the UI disappear for a bit.

It's currently unusable for me, this will add hours to my days.

Hi,

I was not able to reproduce any kind of lag with Tonemapping.
Do you have other applications running in the background?

Getting the scene for which you experience the lag and test it will be better.
Do you experience the same lag with other scenes? Does it still happen when restarting 3ds Max (and the PC too, maybe)?

it's the same for me regardless of scene, i'll try a full restart later but nothing else was running (chrome maybe), just tested now on an empty scene and it's the same.  It works fine if you do the tonemapping from ther ender setup 'edit tonemapping' it's just in the VFB for me

Ok so last night I spent a while cleaning up my PC, uninstalled unecessary programs, managed to clear about 200 GB of space on C Drive, cleaned registry, updated drivers etc etc.  Rebooted the PC, opened Max, opened VFB in an empty scene with nothing else running in the background and it still happens just like in the video I shared.

That is really strange. What GPU do you have? Have you ever experiences similar thing in another software?

GPU isn't great, it's a relatively old 1050ti.

Nope I don't experience this elsewhere, I've never experienced it in Corona until V10

and which exact Max version?
It will be great to specify the driver version for 1050ti as well.

Hey,

I've been looking into this. Could you try installing the latest Nvidia drivers and see if that helps: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Please also run windows update and install any missing updates :)

If it doesn't help, I will continue to investigate this.

Cheers!

Rowan

Apologies, only just getting round to this.  Do you recommend the Game Ready drivers or the Studio drivers?

Hi,

Either should be fine. Only if you have problems with one, you can try the other.

Thanks,

Rowan
