Just like the title says Rounded edges dont appear to be working.

Is it possible to achieve this in Corona?  This was done in MODO+Vray using displacement for the hole pattern then water level to clip (so the holes have thickness).  Then another displacement texture for the wrinkles.

I would be doing this in C4D by the way not 3DS Max.

Sounds good.

Just thought I would ask :).  Maybe you can leverage their MODO knowledge for integration now though.  The Vray plugin is probably the best out of their plugins integration wise.

It'd be interesting to know why ChaosG. didn't basically do a Corona, separate from Vray, to compete. I know many got tired of asking for something like that years ago in your forum, even before Corona came out. Was it too expensive? Don't get it.
We considered it, of course. Ultimately we decided that we didn't want to split our efforts and its best to concentrate on what we already have. Besides, and this is actually the more important reason, my mind is wired in a certain way and I'm not sure that if we started something new, it wouldn't turn out the same way. Corona's team has a fresh perspective on the rendering problems and I can't really match that. Which, again, is why I would much rather work with them than against them.

Im not really  worried about any of this crap in least bit.  I love both vray and corona. 
Vray in MODO is literally plug and play the only deep part you get into is shading.... as with any render engine... even corona.  My question to you is will you collaborate with the corona team and get corona into MODO as well.  You guys did one of the best integrations I have ever used with MODO and Vray... far better than max and maya in my opinion.  So will the knowledge of working with MODO SDK to integrate Corona happen?  That was a previous roadblock here is no one knew how to do it basically nor did they have a dev for it.

I also really like the PBR shaders in Corona.  I am hoping since some of that DMC loving has been sent their way.... they will send some of their shading model goodness vray's way.

All I see in this thread is a LOT of spoiled entitled "creatives".

I am curious how some of you can afford 3ds-max on your non existent income.

So sad to see a community that was given a great product at a great price act like this over something that really is a good move.  Not only for the Corona team, but for you as well.  You guys act like Chaosgroup doesn't care about rendering and that they are just out to make a buck.

One more, Reinhard with it's bleached look and milky blacks, very low values not to flatten too much (instead slightly under-exposed), then LUT+ contrast.

PBR materials work flawlessly, can't imagine why anyone would be nostalgic after the old fresnel (supposedly some people are), this saves so much of the handy-work, but most importantly,
not sure if people realize that, correct fresnel means the material will work in every angle and light situation. Previously I had to tweak specular level based on camera and light. Dull could become glossy and that made option of creating universal material library pointless.



As can be seen, post-production ramps up the contrast a lot, which is why it's important to follow the rules and keep albedo within correct range ( "artistic" [30-240] sRGB; "strict" [50-240] sRGB; I follow the strict method, my blackest black is 50 sRGB )

Im curious how you apply those rules to things like panetone colors which very clearly go above and below those values many times.

Not sure if this is a known issue but I am getting faceting on the grazing angles of my geomtry.

Doesn't matter how far I subdivide there seems to be an issue regardless.

I should clarify it works with diffuse channel only but if I put a map in say bump but not diffuse there is nothing in the viewport.

Image files on materials dont show in the viewport.  So you have no idea what the mapping looks like.

First thing I see is that plate and something on it not sure what it is but doesn't look like food.  Seems a little weird to have in this scene.  I mean you have an audio product on a console hall table, some books stacked, then.... food? 

So out of place.

Everything else looks good though.

Teamrender missing plugins is an error I get on my render node.  I installed the corona plugins to the node.  They should match my host machine am I missing something?

The client doesn't even see corona as a plugin.  I only installed the client on the node should I have installed R18 fully and just ran the teamrender client to get it to see the plugin?

Sorry if this is an easy question but is it possible to get interactive rendering in R18 with the new build of A6?  I launch the VFB and select render IR but it doesn't update with scene changes and I dont see an interactive option anywhere.

5th one down looks like he was having breakfeast with friends and said something wrong and they all left and now he is sitting on his bed reflecting and looking depressed.....

Bathroom looks visually bad imo as well.  Not sure if its the dark green accents, lighting, lack of any real pop or eye candy... or maybe all 3.
