Hello to everybody.

I would like to share some first results in Corona Renderer.
As today a new version of Corona was released, I can say that I made this work in the old version. :)

Later I'll try to make glass in new version of Corona and see the difference.

Nice. In the 2nd picture DOF is beautiful on the box but ugly in other places.

I don't understand why you choosed the word "ugly", it's quite unpleasant.

May be your first work in visualization was better, I didn't see it.

In any case I don't agree with you about DOF. There are other things in my work I'm not satisfied with. But I hope, that I'll improve them.

I've seen your quotes about DOF in recent topics. it's seems that DOF is your obsession theme. I like DOF in this work.

I dont know if "ugly"...but in the first picture it is at least strange in the mirror...it looks wired and blurry through out or constant in the reflection...is it in-camera dof? post-po? ...in the reflection the bottle should have the same amount of bokeh of the bottle in front ...

pleasant colors in the images btw :)

You people are confusing DOF with bokeh. Depth Of Field can be narrow or wide but not ugly nor beatiful. On the other hand, bokeh is a aesthetic quality of out of focus part of an image. It is highly subjective, but generally such bokeh as in those renders is considered as poor and undesirable. So, maru can be right :]

Nice work!

Im not 100% totally sure , but I think maru was pointing at the edge artifacts you get when using post dof based on zdepth pass. And i agree, that artifact is ugly :P. but you do gain faster render times and noise free dof:D  To solve it you can render higher res image and downscale ,(do not use AA on zdepth pass) or just use corona dof which will look nicer in the long run:D

longer rays => different blur

Yes, but in Boris image the distance from the mirror an the bottle is not as long to justify that exaggerated blur. Totally different scene from the image you've linked.
