[C4D] I need help! / Alpha is cutting bloom/glare

Hi guys!
I have a problem when I try to composite bloom/glare pass in After Effects.
Basically the bloom/glare is not going over areas where there are transparencies, and this is a huge problem.
In the attachment you will se the VFB image that is the correct version. Then you will see the COMP image, done in after effects, that is completely missing the glare (because opacity cuts it).

The background is a stock video of course.

I'm rendering an exr file with all the compositing layers (virtual beauty, bloom/glare).
I still haven't figured out a method to comp this thing properly...

Hey everyone!
I would like to share with you guys my latest personal project, I've started it couple of months ago but I was able to complete it just now...
I started with a base model by Squir, modeled some parts from scratch and added various details. I built all the materials and lights in c4d and Corona of course. The livery is done just using Corona decals.

Hi guys!

I noticed a problem today, I'm getting slightly different results between interactive render and final render. I thought the problem was Corona 11 so I rolled back to 10, but the problem is still there.
I'm having this issue with every scene.

Hey guys!
I was wondering if is there any chance to get an option to draw a custom render region, free hand or using something like the polygonal lazo in Photoshop.
In attached screenshot for example, I should need only the dark green area to be render.

Yes, I know there's the include list, sometime tho would be better to have the "polygonal region"

Hi guys,

I've been struggling for a while to find good parameters to setup global volume effect using volume material inside "Scene environment".
I can't achieve that nice "hazy" effect around light sources, and I struggle aswell to get nice volumes from light emitters (I usually use small circular emitters with a directionality that ranges from 35% to 50%, high intensity that is often >1500).
Any suggestion on parameters/colors to use in the shader?

I'm attaching here a test I did and values used, as you can see the light bar (corona light material applied) has no hazy stuff around it.

Hey guys!
I'm working on a simple animation but render times are going to be huge, each frame is taking about 10 minutes on my workstation (i9 13900k).
As you can see the scene is simple, just a spray bottle, few lights and dark background.
The render is slow because of the liquid inside that is made with volume.
Any tips on how to optimize settings to speed up the render?

Hi guys,

I'm having some troubles with triplanar. Every map in the material you will see attached is working fine, the bump map that I'm using in the normal channel is working wrong tho.
I can't understand why, all triplanars are setup in the same identical way. If I set the material to cubic mapping everything works fine.

Hello guys,

is there any way to exclude or include any object from a sky that is lighting the scene? Like in corona lights or light material?

HI guys,

I noticed that the latest release 10 daily build (Daily Build 2023-04-03) is slower than the official 9 release.
Of course is not stable so I'm expecting this but in some scenes it's like 2x slower (9 takes 2 minutes to render, 10 takes 3:30 minutes).
I'm attaching here a test comparison in a simple scene with only 1 hdri.

Is there any workaround or is the latest 10 version still buggy?
I'm in love with the shaders in the corona lights so I really want to use the latest daily build lol

Hi guys,

is it possible to create a black/white mask from a decal logo? In the attached image I applied the logo to a decal, I would like a mask with white text.
The only way to do something similar is to make the decal white, the rest of the scene black and do a viewport render with constant shading preview mode.

HI guys,

today I noticed that if I apply a material with a normal map it doesn't work properly if I apply the material to the group, but it works if I apply the material to every single object.

The material applied in the attachments it's the same one, but as you can se the behaviour is different.

Any idea why this happens?

Hi guys, is there any way to exclude a light from volume environment?
In the image attached I have the red light set to include the sphere, I would like it not to affect the volume.
I know I could render the scene without volume and then turn the light off and volume on, but everything would be messed.

[C4D] General Discussion / VDB imported in wrong scale

Hi guys!
I'm using turbulencefd to generate some smoke, I'm importing vdb files using corona volume grid but the scale is completely wrong...
The imported volume is so small compared to the original simulation, is there any way to fix this?
In the attached image you can see the simulation vs the imported vdb (pretty small bounding box in the middle)
