Hi guys,

I created a 3-part tutorial series going over some of the basics in version 1.0.
Most people here will probably already already know all this stuff, but it might be good for new users.

If you have (constructive :p) suggestions on how I could improve on these in the future, I'd be happy to hear them.

Thanks again for the tutorials, some little notes:

- disabling filtering for REs does NOT work. That's why there is a "With AA" checkbox right beside the "Render only elements" button. You could also simply render only 1 pass.
- mapped volumetrics do not work "inside" volumes yet. You can map things like absorption depth for skin or use a gradient for scattering color but you cannot do do something like clouds inside a volume. It's just mapping the value onto the surface, not into the volume itself. What you see in the video are more like shadows of the mapping, not really different "depths". You can see it in the mtl preview or by using the mtl on a sphere for example.
- GI/AA balance is not helping if you want better Reflections and don't need as much GI samples. Reflections are actually on the GI side, not on the AA side. So if you change this setting, you're still having the same balance of GI and Reflection samples.
Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.

Thanks Mate! very useful!
About the lighting, I tried to use a HDR with the bitmap loader but the colors/range/quality looks bad compared with using the Vray Hdr loader, have any chance to make it better full range? when I use the Vray hdr loader it looks great but I have dark strips with DR, with the bitmap loader all good, no strips, I really want to change to corona just want to solve this first, Any chance to the Corona HDR loader coming soon?

     Thanks!

Do you mean something like a "preset" to render final image? There is no such thing in Corona, default settings should work well in most cases. Just let your render cook for a while.
