I have been playing with unreal engine and found the way it add decals is amazing. you just drag and drop dirts, pot holes etc.. to the surface and place.
Is this something that can be developed by corona team or the max team have to do this?
some thing like this

Friend of mine (who is a Vray user) literally said this to me the other day and I feel the same way. Would LOVE to have a system like deferred decals using Corona Renderer.

I also feel like this would be an incredibly useful feature. How it works in unreal is just unreal (pun intended)

Absolutely! This is the most needed feature in 3DS Max right now.
