Can you please delete the Corona folder (or backup, remove it from the root folder temporarily) from your ENU location: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20** - 64bit\ENU\en-US\plugcfg\corona, and see if the issue persists?

This is not working for me either.
Every time I open a scene I have to re-load the same LUT for each camera! That's very frustrating.

Hi!

I'm looking for a new ATX x99 motherboard for my 5960x processor (LGA 2011-v3 socket).
Current one is having problems recognizing all RAM sticks.

Which one would you recommend? I don't play any games here, so ideally, I'd get the cheapest one that just allows me to run Max/Corona without any problem.

These are my other components:

RAM: GSkill Ripjaws4 8Gb (x8)
GPU: GeForce GTX 980Ti
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S
Case: Fractal Design Define S

BTW "latest version" never helps, because you might think something is the latest when it isn't - please always specify the version. In this case, the latest version is the officially released Corona 8 downloaded from the website at https://corona-renderer.com/download, let us know if you do mean Corona 8 final release :) Thanks!

Hey guys. I've been playing with the new scattering tool and I must say it feels significantly slower than the preview version.
I'm talking about some simple operations like scattering some grass on a plane. Max freezes after every small change on the parameters and the image takes way longer to update on the VFB than before.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Hi Rowan. I'm using Corona 8 latest version and 3ds Max 2022.

Loading the LUT from the desktop seems to fix the problem.
It's pretty odd since I never experienced any problem loading the same LUT from the other location on Corona 7 or other version. Something changed.

Sure! I'm using Windows 10 and 3ds Max 2022. Language is English (USA).
I have my slate material windows open and whenever I click on the color of any material, it takes mora than 4 seconds to open the color picker. This happens with simple materials with no textures and with more complex ones. It also happens regardless RT is running or not.

Please feel free to request any additional detail you need.

New color picker is taking more than 4 secs to open!
This makes it really difficult to use.

I'm also having problems with the color picker interface taking several seconds to open every time I need to adjust a color. It takes more than 4 seconds!!! It's too slow

With Corona 8, I get an error message every time I open my scenes. It says that Corona couldn't load my custom LUT. No matter how many times I reload the LUT and save the changes, the error will show up when I open the scene again.
This never happened in previous version.

I remember telling the devs the same in another post: small details are really import. This is what makes great design.
Unfortunately, I feel they are not so receptive now as they used to be.

Hi Maru. This is definitely undesired behavior from 3ds Max side. Why not implementing an "Infinite Corona plane" just like V-Rray? It's something that has been requested for so long as far as I understand.

😕 If that's the case, why are we still missing a simple "infinite plane" tool? I really hate seeing V-Ray going faster in terms of development and feature addition. It used to be the opposite.

It only happens while rendering, doesn't matter if it is with IR or production. Once you stop rendering, the plane goes back to normal size.

This is kind of awkward since the "Render multipliers" properties are meant to affect how the plane looks on the rendering not on the viewport. As I've mentioned in other posts (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=36097.msg197203#msg197203), having a huge plane on the viewport creates some annoying issues when you need to zoom extend/out and navigate, specially when the main object of the scene is very small compared to the big plane.
