Like DeadClown said, looks like in your image most noise comes from direct light (there is no noise in dark areas) so you can try raising LSM (light samples multiplier).

So I don't have to check it again? Thanks! :)

This means I'm late. :)

I thought Solid Angle's website always consisted only of a logo with some short info and Arnold was like a top secret project never visible to anyone. Yeah, no plugin for max, this sucks but it I'll probably download educational Maya or Softimage just to try it.

I don't intend to advertise Corona's competitors but this news is just insane...

Yes, it's the good old volumetric light trick ( http://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,276.0.html ). :)

Strange... I'll check it again. Are you using the same build? Was your box only 1x1x1 segment?

Looks like something is wrong with motion blur when applied to light mtl objects.

1. standard Corona mtl
2. same geometry, light mtl

update: it is rendered with bidir, but the same thing happens with progressive

update 2: looks like it only happens to simple objects like boxes, disappears if you subdivide it

It is very nice. Tastes best with Bidir PT.

This might also be useful if you are new to Corona:

So my guess is that it's simply reflecting the grey background. Try setting it to black and rendering again.

1. it may be reflecting the gray-ish environment
2. it may have diffuse component set to more than 0
