From the latest Corona Renderer 8 Daily Builds Changelog:
  • Added new Corona Slicer Mtl

Corona Slicer can be found in "Materials>Corona>CoronaSlicerMtl"

How to use?

1. Create any polygon geometry which you want to use as a Slicer Object.
2. Create a new material "CoronaSlicerMtl" and apply to your slicer object.
3. Intersect your Slicer object with any object you want to slice.

Hi,

Considering you have 2D texture that you are mapping to 3D cube, What are you expecting it to look like? Like you want ceiling that is present in your 2D texture to go automatically to the ceiling of the box and the ground that is present in 2D image to go to the ground in 3D box and windows to front face of cube? In short converting a 2D image to 3D scene automatically? Let me know if I don't understand it correctly :)

Unless we are are projecting this texture from a camera, this mapping is expected which we see in viewport. Even with projection, you will get some stretched out areas.

Please turn off Real-world Map to fix your tiling issue.

1. Why do you need to blend polygon geometry not textures? What would be the use case of this?
2. If you are able to blend textures instead of geometry, will it work?
3. Are you referring to some kind blob mesh geometry? For example

Hi,

can you send us a ticket for your issue. It seems like we might need to examine your scene file to give you a solution.

Also what Corona version are you currently using?

Is it possible that the light intensity of those objects is very low to see there bloom and glare in the scene?

I think having a dark envrionment will replicate the effect you are looking for.

No sky and only direct sunlight.

Hi,

Here was the mistake -

Even if you are using legacy mtl

- Reflection color was not set to pure white
- Reflections were glossy.
- Ior was set to 10. You need to set it to 999 in legacy or just simply use the physicalmtl metal mode for more accurate results.

How I solved it?

I gave both mirrors exactly the same mirror material.
I changed Legacymtl to Corona physical mtl.
Use the pre-defined preset of the mirror to load accurate values for a surface to act as a mirror.

There is no such limitation or bugs regarding it, it was just a simple material error, that's it.

That's all.

I had the look at your scene and it seems like your mirror material was wrong. Fixing your mirror material seems to fix your issue.
