That's odd, here's how Corona toolbar is looking on my PC. 3ds max 2016 sp3
Please, can you take a look to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2016\UI_ln\Icons and IconsDark folders whether you have installed toolbar resource files there? Namely: CoronaToolbar_16a.bmp, CoronaToolbar_16i.bmp, CoronaToolbar_24a.bmp, and CoronaToolbar_24i.bmp files. Do they contain proper orange icons (or their alpha channels) as in the attachment?

Do you use the toolbar from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXTPlodahrA, by any chance? There could be conflict in some names.

and please... no red color!

may be blue?

I am sorry guys but graphically I don't really like the tool bar.
The color palette is all the same and the icons are so old fashion to me.
I am using for months now another Corona Toll bar which graphically is very cool. Hope you can make it a bit better...

Yeah. +1
the toolbar  looks not good. RED colors, like "STOP STOP STOP" signs. Closed your toolbar and still using external one.

any daily... oops... monthly (hope not yearly) builds?
we are still holding daily builds because of hotfixes - but it seems there will be no hotfix3, so we will resume dailies. We have 15 items changelog ready.

Generally, we had to do a lot of non-prog tasks lately (organizing, budgeting, hiring, moving offices, ...) - to prepare teams for growing

Corona Light Mtl basically only an emissive material. VRay also have Vray Light Mtl just like Corona. Mesh light is a kind of light. You can pick an object/mesh to be the light source when using mesh light. Many other renderer engine have it. Here's the screenshot from VRay mesh light:

Are there any advantages of this compared to an object with Corona Light Mtl?



A lot of!
1) light source is a light source. (for instance object filtering in the scene)
2) more options for type units for emission (W, lux...)
3) targeting
4) switching between types (sphere, disk, rectangle, MESH)
5) including in light list (I hope to see this tool in Corona 2)

By the way... for what reason to put any light sources CoronaLight in the scene if you can just apply LhtMaterials to whole scene and illuminate it ))))

anyway I guess it should be fixed sa soon as posible.

I am having very strange isue with latest daily build RC8

The VFB screen goes black right after 5-6 pases and if i switch between renderlayers image apears back but just for 1 sec and turns back again.

What i have tryed:

- saving EXR - all layers are black exept for alphachanel
- disabaling lightmix - same

Completley no idea what is causing it it just apeared X_X

Please separate parameters Cameras Clipping to Use clipping and Show Clipping in viewport (but when Clipping camera selected should be displayed automatically). Thanks

Actually , its in every scene, even a teapot alone, just takes like 5 seconds to assign materials...
Any material? Which Max version? It is quite swift for me ...

Marerials saved on HDD or SSD
Years ago when I used HDD with long files names (like coronahas now) I had the similar problem. Now use SSD and seems everything ok
