I finished this model and resolved to make a test with corona,I haven't used it in production, but whenever I can, I use to study any specific situation. In this case I tested rendering modes (I chose to use bucket), displacement and material composition.
Now I'm feeling more comfortable using the corona into production.

[Max] Corona Goodies - User Contributions / Yellow Clay
« on: 2014-05-09, 21:30:29 »
Hello guys, I made this "clay material" trying hard to simulate the effect of SSS. I made composition  of procedural maps for diffuse and translucency.

Link for download: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2067306/corona_material/Yellow%20Clay.rar

BUT!!!!!!! Attention!
I used at the composition of the material the "corona sky" shader, as it was not created for this purpose there are some problems.
To fix this turn on and off "affected by sky" whenever you open the file or material and when you edit any of parameters linked to difuse, doing this the material work properly.

I used the map "corona sky" because doing some testing I realized that the result of it being applied to difuse was interesting and seemed useful to try to make the effect of SSS.

There are some limitations to the use, such as use as a mask, try invert the map, some blend modes of the composite map and another problem I spoke above, about editing the material.

Playing a bit to test the new corona A6, this more than ok!
I used this scene to test the DOF using a custom shape to generate bokeh with chromatic aberration.

I think this may actually be a bug, I'll attach the file that did the tests for investigation.

Hello guys, this was the first work that I developed entirely with the corona, this is the first render, I will still make other renders in this environment.
This first work allowed me to see the difficulties, find some bugs and think of some necessities for next corona.
I'll get this list and report here on the forum.

Work in Progress/Tests / Abandoned Train Track, France
« on: 2013-06-14, 15:41:20 »
Hello guys, I'm working on a new scene to test the max 2014 forest pack 4 and corona a5.
A little history about this place...
This tunnel is part of an abandoned rail line that circles Paris called the Petite Ceinture. It was built in 1852 to connect the Gares of Paris and it was I think the world's first commuter rail. It was abandoned in the 1930s because the Paris Metro was more efficient at moving people around. You can visit this tunnel in Parc Montsouris, a public park.

Here are 3 renders in different sizes.

I was testing rendering fabrics and came across the following problem ...
I adjusted the fabric material of my testing in a "frame" (close up frame... :P I do not know if this is the correct term, in Portuguese would be "enquadramento"). I adjusted the scale of the texture, bump intensity, glossiness ... And for that "frame" the yield was good.
But when I put the scene late in the "frame", which is further away, the yield had problems (I'd better show than describe, my English is not very good).

Hello, I'm starting to test the functionality of the Corona to better understand its operation. So I'm redoing some tests I did in other renderers.
