Hi,

I have problem with displacement of the carpet that's visible in the mirror.
There's some kind of dark/light area line.
I saw the topic where similar problem occured in the Cinema 4D and changing to world space solved it. However it doesn't work on my side. It only changes how the problem is visible.

Is there anything I can do about it? I think it's quite common to see displaced areas in the reflection..

Hi,

I guess you're using displacement through the material itself. Did you try with a displacement modifier instead?

I tried both modifier and in the material ifself.

It didn't work. However I found out that combination of turning off "Apply displacement autobump" & setting displacement in world size units did the job.

I don't think that's needed. :)
