After being acquired by Chaos, I have no hope on this project because the Chaos group definitely hates Archicad users. Please tell me the opposite :/

Logical step! We all familiar with the default window.

[Archive] Chaos Corona for ARCHICAD / Re: More test projects
« on: 2019-05-14, 14:27:25 »
Hi all — Please see link the the files below. Note: The archiCAD File is in the 'Textures" folder. Also, you'll most likely have to relink all secondary maps related to bump, gloss, etc. These were loaded using the 'bitmap' option and as I noted in a different thread... Corona looses these paths when the AC file moves. It does not loose the diffuse map because this one lives in the AC Libraries.

This is for testing and educational purposes only. Textures and models cannot be used for commercial/commissioned projects.

Thank you, man! It's just for in-house testing ;)

It's great!

Could you please share the file for testing purposes?

Simple question: How to Install Corona to other language packages?

[ARCHICAD] Bug Reporting / Re: proxy
« on: 2018-11-30, 14:04:53 »
Proxy objects are really important because AC can't handle polygon heavy objects like trees.

I also tried a proxy tree by using 3ds MAx (https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=5920.0) but I dont know how to assign materials or it doesn't work.

[ARCHICAD] Bug Reporting / Re: No alpha at 2D trees

The problem with bad rendering of the textures in 2D trees has been fixed, the updated version will be released hopefully tomorrow.

Trees are ok now. Thank you!

I think he means this (below) ArchiCAD's standard Infobox bar at the top with properties for any selected element.

ArchiCAD's Infobox already has an "intensity" control for any light object as you can see, but I don't believe it's related or connected to the one you have for the Corona light when you click on the actual light and open the properties dialog box, since your "Intensity" control is in real world values (Lumens, Candelas, watts, etc) while the ArchiCAD one on the infobox is just a gradation of percentage (out of 100%).

If I understand him correctly, he would like to be able to control the Corona light directly from ArchiCAD's infobox (without using the standard (%) intensity control, but instead using the Corona Intensity value control but not having to open the properties dialog.

Does that make sense?

Yes, that is exactly what I was trying to describe. Thank you!

Infobox shows selected settinsgs of the tool (wall, object, light, etc). It help user to access some settings easily without opening any window. You can modify it under Options/Work Env/Info Box.. menu. I dont know is it something you can do without GRAPHISOFT, but I hope you can :)

Small advive, little tweaks on UI. Showing light intesity value (5000/lumen) at infobox might be helpful.

[ARCHICAD] Feature Requests / Re: Material presets
« on: 2018-11-20, 08:25:05 »
Thank you for your suggestion, this is something we considered, but at the moment we are more likely to add the Corona material library instead of material presets. Would that be enough for your use?

By the way you can already duplicate materials already setted in surfaces. Copying is easier to start, so if you have more default corona materials (library) as you said it might be a seconday wish for me.

Hi,

I mean it is hard to rotate and change axis of the rectangle light. Try looking up at a 45 degree angle. Default rotate function (ctrl+E) of AC only works on a active plane. I think gizmo of the proxy* object is easier.

*By the way, proxy is a must for AC and the result are charming. However I used another software (3dsmax) to export 2M polygon Tree as Corona Proxy object because it is really hard to handle it inside the AC. I'll try more proxy objects soon.

[ARCHICAD] Bug Reporting / No alpha at 2D trees
« on: 2018-11-19, 08:21:21 »
Hi,

I first posted at Archicad-Talk (https://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=61404&p=288925&hilit=corona#p288925). I copy my comments here, please check the image there.

2 things:

There is no alpha at 2D trees and images are upside down.
Rotating Corona Light is tedious. (my first experiment)
