Hi, not really sure if this is a bug or just me, so I wanted to ask here first.
I made a hair animation with a brush dragging along on a surface and used a hair material from the Material Library for this. This renders just fine but I wanted to mask the hair for compositing and couldnt get the mask to work, whatever I tried (include selection, material ID,...). Then I set up a new Corona Hair Material and this could be masked just fine via Material ID.
Now I was wondering, since the (regular) materials in the Library are Legacy materials, maybe there has been an update to the Corona Hair Material as well which breaks the masking? I couldnt find a difference between the Material I created and the one from the Library

Im on Corona v8 Hotfix 1

Hi, i have a problem with the Multi Shader.
I have a scene with a cloner cloning multiple leaves in a grid. A plain effector with a box falloff removes some leaves over time (e.g. scales them down). The leaves all have the same material, but the texture is in a corona multi shader in "object" mode with randomisations on hue and gamma being enabled (5%). Now when I render some frames of the animation on my main machine all colors remain perfectly the same. But when i render in team render with a second machine, the colors are flickering on some frames, as if the hue and gamma randomisation is calculated with a new seed on each frame. Even stranger is, that I dont have just 2 versions (I thought maybe each machine calculates the randomisation differently, so I have 2 different outputs) but each "flicker" seems to be unique.
Now Im wondering if this problem comes from a) team render not working right with the multishader, b) the effector with the falloff fields messing with the objects in any way, c) using the wrong mode for the multishader or d) all of the above :D

[C4D] I need help! / Show Node Materials removed from view
« on: 2021-10-25, 18:39:20 »
Hi, I have a problem with my node materials. I thought that simply hitting DEL would remove the textures from my material, but I just learned its only hiding them. And since this happened in my base scene, which I used to save many more scenes based on the first material, Cinema is still looking for lots of textures - especially some which since have been deleted. When I try to add the project to the render manager it wont work because of some missing textures. I can see in the project info panel, which textures are missing but I cant remove them from my project. And in the corona node view I cant find an option to remove these textures. Hitting "remove unused textures" or "materials" doesnt do anything. So how can I unhide the hidden node textures still stuck in the project?
