Hi. Does anyone one know how to unwarp this bird to same squares in 3d max?
Example in the attachments

It mostly depends on how the model's topology looks, what texturing method will be used and what are your skills in unwrapping. Ideal variant would be to add uwrap modifier and unwrap the bird manually. Alternatively you can just add UVmap modifier and choose box, or cylinder projection.

Using Coronatriplanar is also a fast and efficient way to coat your asymmetrical non-mapped mesh, if you are simply planning to coat it with a certain dirt/map or other tilling textures. As previously mentioned, if you are planning on hand-painting the model you will have to resort on seaming and pelting the mesh with unwrapping, it's actually a pretty easy process.
