So Poliigon recently dropped a trailer for their Marble Textures and the way it's shown in it, it seems like they used SSS because I work in field related to ceramic and the difference is a lot, I'm not sure which software was used to make the trailer but I feel like it must be possible to do in Corona as well

I tried a lot but everytime I compared my renders to the one without SSS the only notable Difference I saw was in render times and nothing else changed visibly

What I tried fiddling with was I used the SSS marble material from XSMP Shader and use the diffuse as Marble texture and then tweaking the settings for SSS

Here's the link to that

Please Let me know if I made any mistake in posting it

Thank You

Hello @Paul_Phoenix_999

First of all, for a better understanding of what is SSS, I would recommend starting with this article: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/4528498501137-What-are-the-two-available-SSS-modes-3ds-Max

Also, you can check our official youtube channel - there are a lot of tutorials on how to create material, effects, etc: https://youtube.com/@ChaosCorona
