Hello borisquezadaa,
thank you for your info.
I know what Abbe is.
That's why i wanted to know if it is implemented. The caustics check box doesn't do anything for me at least.

this issues are really bugging me. I do a lot of glass, and up to now, even keyshoot does better glass than corona. Is this gonna be fix soon devs ?

Hello,
i searched trough the forum, no result. I need to ask, is there Abbe ?

That's cool keymaster.

So, taking in consideration this is all virtual, is there any difference between the corona camera and a approach trough a modeled lens?
I mean, doesn't the actual software camera interpret the light like a glass lens? If not,  is it possible to make more "interesting" images with a approach like this?

i'm a photographer, and i'm always interested in making artistic images. Usually i use plugins to enrich the raw render, but could this technique actually produce more "interesting" images, with more atmosphere?

Great details and great texture!

I always wander if u can use a modeled camera to take a picture with it. I mean, effectively use the modeled lenses to look at a scene and render trough that view. Is it possible? Does it make sense? To model the lenses a bit imperfect, with some dust and chromatic abberation....it could make a nice effect ?

I still can't make the blend material act properly with dielectric materials. Is it me, or is still not working?

[Max] I need help! / Proxy export error
« on: 2015-02-21, 15:10:58 »
Hi,

im, trying to export proxy of a larg group of objects, each one with mesh smooth applyed.

I get this error.

any ideas why ? could it be i don't have enough RAM ? I  have 12GB. It works with smaller groups. What is the best way ? Should i make a group and export a single proxy? multiple proxies? No group, each objects separately?

"cproxy = CoronaProxy cacheInRam:cbcache.checked previzType:(ddlPreviz.selection-1) pointcloudDensity:spnPCD.value"

« on: 2015-02-12, 20:39:11 »
Thank you for your reply. I would be grateful for any suggestions.
I tried many scenarios using modeled geometry, but the pattern that makes up the thin layer of "frozen water" it's impossible to replicate with geometry for me. Also using real droplets doesn't seem to render correctly either. As u can see here https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,6597.0.html , the geometry droplets look... fake. But it might be my modelling

This bump map and blend material with alpha solution works perfect in vray.  http://viscorbel.com/condensation-shader-vray/

Can i get any of the masters give me some hope about blend material in the near future?

Thank you for your replys.

In deed, as u can see, it works as expected with diffuse. But with dielectrics, it doesn't.

It's incredible for me. I've bee in a quest of almost 7 years in trying to get photo realistic glass with perspiration, and still no luck. I tryed, maxwell, octane, and corona. neither of them can render correctly water over glass. Why is that ?!?

Hi, i'm trying to make a blend glass, using an alpha as a mask.

It  doesn't seem to work right with dielectric materials. I am trying to replicate a simple vrayblend with a alpha mask, and even if it works with solid color, it doesn't work with dielectrics.

So is there a known bug, or am i doing something wrong ?  Build time is 2015-02-11

Thank you.

Incredible renders. Great photography.

Do you have any tips for the asphalt? Is it procedural , is it sculpted ?

Thank you.

Thank you guys for your advice. I'm still struggling with the thing. Which shouldn't  be a problem if corona would implement something like this!

How about it devs? Can it be done ? I mean it would solve like a looooooooooot of headaches.

Work in Progress/Tests / Bottle Condensation Study Case
« on: 2015-01-16, 13:12:19 »
Hello.
I'm working on this situation of drops over bottle. I have a liquid geometry, slightly intersecting a full thickness bottle. On top of the bottle, i have a shell geometry, mapped with a bump map for condensation. On top of that i have full closed  water drops. In some places the shell geometry intersects the bottle geometry, but it doesn't seem to be very much of a problem.

I want to ask, if anyone will be kind enough to share, how should the drops be placed and modeled.

Should the drops be closed geometry, or they should have their bottom part cut?
Should the drops intersect the condensation, the bottle, both or none maybe?
