Hey guys, did anyone tried to do something similar to this using Corona? I have done this in Vray (sketch/toon edges) for some vintage style apartment website (villa exterior). Do we currently have any option to replicate this in Corona?

I can't see any Toon Edges in your image. But maybe that's because of the low resolution. If I wanted to replicate this I would just use a desaturated green-ish diffuse colored material. I tried a version with CoronaRoundedEdges mixed into the diffuse channel but I think you could achieve the same with CoronaAO in a simpler manner.

If you want Toon Edges then I think we are not much further than in your thread a couple of years ago:

Okay :( thank you very much for your info Ben. I haven't used Corona for a while so I wondered if something has been done lately maybe. The AO thingy didn't give me the results I wanted unfortunately.

Sorry for the resolution, guess the edges aren't clearly visible because of that yeah.

Another similar thread:

I found that link Noah45 posted for "Pencil+ 3" interesting -  never heard of it before.

I think that a simple CoronaToon shader will be very useful, especial in a schematic arch-viz project.

It would be already great if CoronaWire would not behave like this when aproaching vertices.

Yes, I already adressed that one (or similar) some time ago. But in 1.4 it's still the same story.

Hi. Until we get a dedicated Corona Toon-shader, there is another "trick" that can actually make something like OP's picture quite easily. I've attached a picture with an example I made in a few minutes.

In the material override slot I put a material with an inverted (color correction) Corona Round Edges map used as diffuse map. Unfortunately Corona Round Edges map can't be used as mask in a blend or layer material, but it works fine inside a Color Correction in the diffuse slot. The overall scene-color is made by the sunlight, but it is also possible to use the color controls in the Color Correction map.

Hope it will soon be possible to use Corona Round Edges map as mask in maps and materials + Corona Scatter.

I've also attached the file (2014).

Anyone old enough to remember; squiggle ? The software would write a plot file only. Pre WYSIWYG lol

PSoft+ pencil is nice for several reasons. Total expression control, and animatable. Written in Animae country (Japan)
