Title: iridescent shader
Post by: willchaos on 2019-02-28, 20:51:35
I am studying a more correct method to create a material with iridescence. The ThinFilm plugin promised to do this but it was not satisfactory. It uses the angle of view of the surface to change the colors, equal to a map of fallof, but the colors are a dispersion / division of light. So your starting point should be the highlights.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure if you're asking for help, wanting to share your setup or just showing off? We have specific boards for each of these tasks :]

I'm just showing a different view on the subject and have some feedback if I'm on the right track. I have not shared the material yet because it still needs tweaking.

I'd love to know more about how you achieved that result.
