OMG. Are they f*****g kidding ? on my side, I don't focus on new features, but on fixes / improvements instead. And even on that area they seem lazy to say the least ...

Nothing new of any real value to arch-viz people for many years. I just hope this one isn't a bug-filled mess. 2018 is still a hot mess after 4 hotfixes...

Oh yes ... especially the "mouse detection", insane. Reported a few times, they don't care :(

They do, but their process for 1) receiving bug report informally 2) making it formal 3) confirming it's there 4) getting it into their schedule 5) getting it fixed 6) releasing it is... SLOW. I guess it's inevitable given the scale of the company. My main issue with Autodesk is that they push out releases without properly testing them. There are so many ridiculously obvious bugs in 2018 it's amazing it shipped in the state it did. If they took a bit more time, did more small-scale frequent updates, and abandoned this yearly cycle, in other words do what Adobe are doing, I think this would be better for everyone.

Well said.  I could understand the yearly cycle before perpetual went away...it incentivized users to keep their subscription I guess.  But now it just seems like a relic of the past.  These weak, buggy releases make me glad I kept my perpetual license for 2016.

Ironically I just got called by Autodesk on Friday.  The guy was trying to get me to trade in my perpetual license for a 25% off discount that would expire after one year.  I politely declined and they guy was kinda like 'Yeah...I can understand your reasoning.  Maybe some other time!'  Hehe.

One wonder who is in charge of product marketing at Autodesk. They release Bifrost as a service pack and procedural wood and a Boolean spline function as a new release.
