It woud be great that Corona's colour selector values would be in 0,0-1,0 rather than in 0-255 range, like they are in mental ray colour selector. Currently, if i want to fine tune colour, i have to use CoronaSolidTex, but it's not very convenient this way.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

I think 0-255 is more convenient. Float is not a good idea. I actually had problems with MR due to this.

While float offers you some more color precision (which your screen can not display properly in most cases anyway), it is inconsistent with pretty much rest of the 3ds Max UI.

Also, if you get specific RGB value from client for example, you are getting 8bit per channel values, not float values.

0-255 is not necessarily better, but it is the lesser of two evils ;)

yep, since all input available you need to put in via numbers is in 8bit 0-255, I've decided not to do this. If you need more precision, you can use CoronaSolidTex, which has no additional penalty.
