Hi there, I'm just curious if switching my process in Max from mm to cm has any indirect benefits. Since I've been working with archives for 13 years, I've only ever used mm. However, from reading other people's posts, I've realized that many people are using cm. Please let me know more.

cm works well for larger scenes, for example when using mm sometimes you notice z-fighting (flickering in objects that are close together/ground), this happens less as you increase to cm/m. m is good for ariel shots etc.

FYI note however when you switch units anything procedurally made with modifiers (like sweep) may go bonkers. Some things in 3dsmax like some modifiers, uvw mapping etc is based on the unit size it was made in so when importing these objects from previous projects you will have to scale them down/up, can be a real pain.
