Often, materials don't load pictures.
It happens at opening and sometimes without doing nothing extravagant. I must reload pictures and it's ok. A little bit annoying.

have you tried the time offset load option in the c4d preferences?

I'm working with very large pictures : 10000/20000 pixels. In editor, all previews are 512x512 or 1024x1024 and sometimes 2048x2048. Maybe it's a lack of VRAM (Radeon 7950 3 Go).

I made a mistake, I forgot that the following option only affected Xrefs:
I was not talking about the editor preview. In the Cinema 4D program settings(CTRL-E), there is an option, a checkbox, that allows a time offset when opening scenes.

So disregard that if you're not using Xrefs.
