tested a simple scene...

1. rendered with texture directly in texture slot, inkl. uvw-randomizer
2. rendered with corona bitmap in texture slot, inkl. uvw-randomizer > faster, more rays, less noise, but uvw randomizer seems not to work

> mac osx mojave, c4d r23, corona v6 (hotfix 2)
   no idea how it's behaving in v7 or v8 daily builds

hello y'all

i'm trying to put a 3d-person (rigged) into an architectural scene. with a longer shutter speed, the person should become unsharp (motion blurred).
i did a test scene only with the person walking > see attached file.

i can't get it to work, the person is always sharp no matter what shutter speed is chosen. maybe i'm too dumb or it simply doesn't work with corona renderer?
i thank you for your help in advance.

@mmarcotic i can't make a video to showcase. i moved back to v6 (hotfix 2).

but i can give more information about my hardware:
mac pro (mid 2010), 2 x 3.46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 128gb, Radeon RX 580 8 GB,
c4d r23.110

not sure if the material editor is laggy, too.
for example...creating a normal c4d-material and loading images into the spedific slots works fluently (c4d r23). with the corona material i have to wait some seconds until material window opens and loading images into slots is slow. materials without textures can be opened fast. only materials with textures are reeeeeally slow to open.
can't remember having this in corona v6 (hotfix 2). are you aware of this?

@Jpjapers that's for our input! this plugin looks amazing.
but here we go again...no support for cinema 4d at all. :o( cinema 4d is really a downside, when it comes to plugin support.

i gave it another try. it look okay. surely need to fine tune the settings.
but i'm still struggeling with a specific thing > still having parts, where ambient occlusion shouldn't be applied (see attached image).

by the way...i'm a c4d user. ;o)

hi all
i just watched a video on youtube about vray 5 and dirt map...

most of my 3d-work is architecture. dirty concrete is something i use regularely, especially making dirt steaks. at the moment i always end up to add them in photoshop manually.
i'm aware of "ambient occlusion" as a solution, but it is just not the same. vray dirt seems to be much more powerful and realistic.

question to the developers:
are there any thoughts about implementing this feature in the future?
when can we expect something similar in corona renderer to get same results?

may i ask how you rendered the people? ...sunlight on bodies, shadows on the ground?
a little insight in your workflow would be very nice! :o)

and...the final sky. is this the sky from the hdr or did you put another into the rendering in photoshop?
if it's the originally rendered hdr...which one did you use? collection?

it would be very handy to differentiate the comositing tags in the explorer. think about this...you have 20 different compositing tags, but assigned to multiple different objects.
