Title: wire shader
Post by: prince_jr on 2020-03-01, 18:50:28
Hi all
I tried to render a scene only with a wire shader (cinema 4d = diffuse channel > plugins > corona > wire)

No matter which options I choose the result isn't satifying. it seems, either option "world units" nor "pixels", gives a constant thickness of the wire.
> see attached pictures for comparison

I know it's physically correct that the wire gets thinner (room depth).
But is there a possibility to have all wires in the same thickness (from front to back)?

Thank you for all your inputs.

It looks like you have enabled DOF. That would explain "thickening" of the wireframe, when pixel units are chosen.

@romullus: thx for your advice, I appreciate! but with or without DOF > the render result stays the same.
@burnin: it seems there hasn't been an investigation of the "problem" since december 2017...

I am afraid there is no real solution to this at the moment. I will make sure this is reported to our dev team.
