Gallery / Residential housing in Vilnius
« on: 2015-09-23, 20:28:43 »
Hello

Posting my last and very special project: The Missionary Gardens.

A garden oasis is proposed for a new residential community on the edge of Vilnius’ famed Old Town. The design respects the history of the area – for centuries it was a private sanctuary of the missionaries. Now the hilltop will be transformed into gardens enjoyed by the residents and visitors of the new community.

Architecture: DO architects. More about project: http://goo.gl/02B4Ju
Visualisation: www.3darchitect.lt

BTW: Glad to have corona!

Hello, friends,

Right now I am finishing my architecture bachelor project and of course architecture visualisation takes a part of it. Actually I spent about 50 hours, with minor sleeping brakes for these images.

The project itself is in the heart of Lithuania capital city, Vilnius.  Actually, that's more a temple, that a culture center, since there is one main space with fire. It's for rituals of pagans and so on. Of course, all around there are more funkcional zones, but mentally, central space is strongest.

When it comes to visuals. Well, some of them were all 3D, some composited into photo, depending on needs and time saving. I am quite happy with result :)

Thank you for the attention!

Well, I don't know if you tried to simulate my last renders, or Morten Budtz Arkitekt photos/mood, but to be honest, you clearly failed in both situations. Lighting isn't deep enough, background is way too dark, too much yellows everythere. You should have let corona render bit more time, there is still much noise appearing. What I like about these renders is only a reflection of bed on glass. Which is probably too strong to be real :)
Nonetheless, last renders are really nice! Maybe you should give some more time for the bedroom. I see you can do it better ;)

I love those details where the ceiling and wall connects :)

Ok, and nobody tells how good this is?

I love the architectural concept. Outside comes inside. And people can feel the nature being inside. Thats a nice playing. I would love to spend some time there :)

What concerns visuals. You should work more on materials. They are too dry to be natural I think(greenary, plywood). I love the atmosphere you created.

Keep up!

Juraj, to be honest I didn't know that. Unfortunately I am more try&see man than read&try. But that's probably making me weaker in some cases. Anyway, I really enjoy your comments with such a strong theoretical/technical knowledge. Makes me think, you know that much from books, internet or some kind of studies? If that's not too personal.. :)

Paul Jones. Thank you. Yes, your advices are good to get more realism to image. But situations like this takes so much time to work on.. and still, you get better result with 2d photo :)

Juraj, good point about close-up trees. Totally agree with you, since I played quite some time with materials to realise that. But it was worth. For wall I used grayscale texture with 210 average value and 0.95 at diffuse level. And for mixer I made something inappropriate – it's fallof with 245 and 235 at white point and some curves. Maybe too drastic, but looks quite well.

Adanmq, thank you for a nice words. I used cg-source wood textures. Strongly suggest using them, since we don't have anything better in market yet ;)

Hello,

Posting some of my latest renders done with corona 7.2 and 1.0.
All of them were rendered in quite high resolutions. No more than 5 hours per render.
Interior design credits goes to Morten Budtz Architects. I took their interior as a reference to get some practise.

Comments&critics are very welcome.

Thank you.

First of all, very nice colors. I like how yellows and blues merge together in your images.
And I would choose textures more accurately next time, since wooden planks and dark marble is far more convincing that white marble. :)

I love that natural feeling about your images. But simplicity which you have mentioned before, caused some bad effects on several materials. Anyway, overal look is really eye catching :)

Hello,

Posting my new visualisations from personal architecture project.

I am really satisfied with the result since it was done under one seriuos condition – 18 hours for everything to be done. It was was challenge for me to model, render, composite, post these images in such a short time, but it was successful I think.
