Aside from being a bit ... not happy I am surprised.
When Corona crashed C4D this time (and no recovery scene was written), all I got was a bug report and a minidump.
But why on earth is this report mentioning a Corona Hair object when no hair nor hair material was somewhere near this scene?

And, is there any indicatrion what crashed this scene? I was adjusting materials while the IR was running ...

Hi Mike, what was the scene you were working on? Are you able to send that as well?

Not in its pre-crash state but I see if I can restore it as good as possible.

It's close, not the same as with the crash, though. No hair was added or removed. Can't say the latter about my own unfortunately.

Happy hunting!

The thought that having the material library open that opens with "basic hair" visible could be responsible would be too far fetched, because not having touched any of the materials there it should not do any harm, right?
Just thinking out loud.

This scene (continued from the earlier one) reliably crashes the app as soon as I try to render it to the PV.
Now I wonder what do do to continue with the project ...

Now I know that enabling displacement in any of the materials triggers the crash. Gotta find out which one - tomorrow.
I will stop talking now ;)

Me again ;)

FWIW, it crashes in all kinds of situations - crashiest scene I had in months. Always is fixed with displacement disabled.
It does not crash in any case (not yet, as far as I tried ^^) with V7, only with the (latest) daily.

Today it rendered the crash scene without problems but as soon as I touched a material parameter (switched off the bump of the water), the crashes are back. No idea left over but giving up this daily and reverting to an older version for now.

Hi Mike, thanks for the additional info. Sorry to hear it's still crashing. We do have this logged and we will discuss it tomorrow in our team meeting.
