[Max] General Discussion / Re: CORONA 3 NVIDIA AI Denoiser
« on: 2018-11-29, 09:49:01 »
Isn't it supposed to be on by default like it says on release notes?
Mine is not

Are you sure? Remember, there are two locations for this to be enabled, one is the final render (the drop down list for Denoising, which used to be the only place to set Denoising, and is not on by default); the other is Denoise during render which should be on by default (assuming you have a GPU that supports it of course), and that's in the Performance tab in the render settings (see image in the blog, https://corona-renderer.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/corona-renderer-3-denoise-during-render-ui-b.png)

Let us know :)

Hey Tom, yes i'm sure. The one under the performance tab is not "on" by default. Also Nvidia Denoiser didn't install by default.
I had to choose custom and install it manually.
I have a GTX 1070 btw.

All viewports covered with red rectangle if i enable camera clipping.
Even the camera not selected.

It's not just a problem of backward compatibility anymore.
In brand new scenes user can't get good tonecompressed image with low white balance. There is no way to do that in 1.5 release.
Thanx god I have 9-23 build with all nice features without this one :)
Thanks..Well then this will ruin the joy of new release. :(

Is this just a backwards compatibility issue or a new project from scratch will affected ?
I never use daily builds btw.
