hi
recently I have a problem. none of my renders look sharp anymore.
why is this problem happening?
is this because of converting the scene? or image filter?
my renders look very blurry everywhere. I should say i made all shaders non-converted, only scene?
my clients are going to disappoint. can anyone help?

Check if you have DOF enabled. Disable it to see if that was the problem.

First of all i want to say that your image doesn't look blurry to me at all, but of course everyone has his own taste for sharpness. It might be helpful if you could show one of your previous render which you consider sharp, so we can know what is your expectations. Anyway, if you look at the edges of the objects, they are all sharp, that means there's no problems with image filtering. You may want to check bitmap filtering, a.k.a. blurring in 3ds max. Check your textures in material editor and see what is blur set at  - default is 1.0, but you may want to set it to 0.1 or even lower. You can use batch material edit script to edit settings on several materials/textures at once. And lastly, applying sharpening in post-production, or in Corona VFB also might help a great deal.

first of all, thank you so much for your time. but what you mentioned about textures and stuff are so basic in rendering which i always take care of them.
I mean it's like a high amount of denoise has been applied to the image which killed the details, but I didn't use denoise at all...
here you can see my work specially in interiors all detail are always sharp

I'm going through render element "sampling focus" to see if I can find the problem

maybe you can share or show material setup. to me it looks fine only with brick texture i can see blur for diffuse only, check mapping and filtering, and resolution of texture

I can't see any blurriness here either, but there is a lack of definition on certain materials and/or wrong curvature of what seems to be fresnel falloff. Somethings you can try:

- Check smoothing groups on objects.
- Lower any amounts of Coronaroundedges applied in bump.
- In case of using normal maps, make sure the correct gamma is applied.
- As mentioned previously, double-check your image filter settings.
- If displacement is being used, do consider lowering its screen or world size.
- Lower the noise limit threshold of your scene to 2-3% and do apply a high-quality denoiser at a preferred amount.
- Corona VFB comes with the Sharpening/Blurring rollout tab, you can find useful utilities in there.

Lastly do note most renders are not being posted "raw" in galleries/portfolios, post-production software like Adobelightroom and AE come with tools that can enhance, denoise, clarify, sharpen, dehaze, etc. renders to another level.

Do keep us posted, and please let us know how we can assist you further.

Could you post your image with another one which you perceive as sharp, side-by-side?
I think you issue may be related to two things:
1) Rendering in too low resolution - simply try rendering in higher res, and reducing the size if needed
2) High quality image filtering - go to Render Setup > System and change Type to "Tent" (and also make sure "Width [px]" is set to2)
