Hi,
Anyone facing white spots or splotches produced by the Corona Skylight Volume? The Corona Sun & Sky themselves are perfectly noise-free but I noticed that the Skylight Volume is producing some white dots on the surface of water (simple Corona physical material water preset) which I couldn't get rid of.

To be sure, I increased the roughness in the water material a bit so that I wouldn't have a 100% glossy water surface but it didn't help. I also disabled the "show in reflections" in the Corona Sun parameters but it also didn't help. Any ideas? Maybe Beanzvision can help me out with this issue as well. Thanks,

*Something I also needed to add is that the strong straight line between the water and the sky in the horizon is not visible in the Interactive Render but visible in the Final Render. Maybe you can help about this as well.

Hi there, I think I was able to recreate this... Are you also using a volume material in the scene environment slot in the render settings? What denoise do you have active? In the 2 examples below, the first has the sky volume effect on and has fireflies.

The second has the sky volume effect off and still produces fireflies. Yet, both examples also had an active global volume effect enabled.

The third image has the global volume effect disabled and the sky volume enable and has no fireflies.

Hello Bengamin, thanks man for your time indeed. I am not using global volume exactly cuz of bad experience with its fireflies and unabling to clean the noise. So I am just using the Skylight volume, I am also using Corona High Quality Denoising, as I see you have no fireflies in the last example. So I cannot figure out what's the issue honestly speaking.. because my scene is also very simple and there's not any special element making problems, I have no clue honestly speaking!

While reducing the scene for uploading I remembered to use Highlight Clamping and it indeed solved the fireflies issue, but the only drawback is that it will kill the Dynamic Range in the final render, that's right?

Hi, yes, that's right. Are you able to share your scene (or a similar one) with us so we can investigate this further?
