Thank you!

We'll be sharing additional info about the structure, release date, and price in the following months.
We're still trying to figure out how many lessons we can squeeze in so until then, we'd encourage you to sign up for the newsletter (thecommonpoint.com) to stay up to date.

Very best,
Artur

Hey Fellow Artists!

Bartosz Domiczek and I have been butchering it for the past couple of months now, and we can finally share a sneak peek at the upcoming CommonPoint Masterclass: 3D Exterior Lighting.

https://thecommonpoint.com/training

We are so excited about how it's shaping up. More than 30 lighting scenarios and an entire 3d scene included in the training (Corona 8 ready including the newest features like Chaos Scatter/Cosmos etc.). We want to guide you through the whole creative process and create any of the images attached below. Sign up to be the first to get noticed! Don't forget to give a heads-up to your friends who might be interested.

Thank you, and hope you'll enjoy it as well!

Thank you!

Yes, the mountains are fully 3d (basically it's 1-2 trees scattered over the geometry)

Hi guys!

I'd love to share a couple of images from a project I've been working on along with Bartosz Domiczek for quite some time now. This is supposed to be the sandbox for our thecommonpoint.com articles as well as some future courses. I think we are about halfway to finish all the images, but we'd like to show some of them already because it is hard to wait :)

I hope you'll enjoy it.

Thank you all!! It means a lot!

Most of the plants are from 3dsky and megascans:
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/monstera_4
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/orkhidieia_2_2
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/kollektsiia_rastenii_dratsena
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/hedera_helix_wonder
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/interior_flower_pack_50

There's not as much tweaking as you might think, though :) I usually add front/back texture and colorcorrection to diffuse, play around with translucensy and reflection. But what might help in bringing the materials forward is the lighting. Still, there's only hdri as a source but getting that sweet spot of contrast seems to bring life into the image. I hope that helps a bit :)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

The lighting is hdri indeed :) The day one is 1658 PG hdri, and if you wish I can check the other ones too.
There might be something coming up considering making of / tutorials so stay tuned ;)

Hello!

This time I'd love to share another vegetation-focused project called 'Houseplant delight'. Interior plants are a whole different story but I'm pretty satisfied with the results.
I have also experimented with a different lighting scenario and so was the little video clip born (don't forget to turn the volume up):

Tasks: Design / Rendering / Compositing / Editing / Color Grading
Software used: 3dsmax / Corona Renderer

All the best,
Artur.

@place, @vblackrender Thank you! Really appreciate it!

fantastic work! That epic SNIFF at 0:21 was the moment that sold it for me. lol keep it up

My wife came up with this idea and it's her favourite moment too ;) But yea, every time I watch the video I expect the sniff is going to happen and it just builds the moment perfectly :) Thank you!
