MultiTexture odd behaviour

I used to do the 'batch add textures' to the multitexture node and it would automatically set the number of slots.
Now, if the number of bitmaps I select is less than the number set it won't remove those empty slots.
I recall this used to work correctly. Right?

I am unable to reproduce this issue on my end.
Please see the video attached.
I hope you are not referring to the 3rd party multitexture plugin but to Corona multimap.
I am using 3ds Max 2024 and Corona 11 HF 2.

Perhaps you have Global Rendering disabled in SME? (Options -> Enable Global Rendering or teapot icon at the bottom left of the window)
