« on: 2020-09-27, 14:22:04 »
Please make this happen!

I'm sooooo done with 3ds max and all it's flaws and crashes... When corona is available for blender like it is in Max, I'm switching!

So +1000

What this guy said.

Woah, congratz on this one! All the images look truly stunning and amazing. I love the night shots where you really see the structure of the cloth!

My main concerns about this is the low quality HDRIs in the background, and the fact that it looks like there is no glass in the windows. Otherwise the lighting is smooth and even, and the modeling looks great too!

Yep :)

Testing with some liquid interaction, and I seem to get loads of noise even at 1700 passes, especially in the liquid.

That looks really sweet. Very clear light direction, and love how lot's of basic geo can become really sweet once you shade it properly :D

Thanks, yes that is absolutely an HDRI. It does create some lovely shadows. Yes, chair is indeed intersecting, and has been fixed :) Currently working on shading objects sitting on the table. Starting with the lamp.

Hello fellow Corona users,
I wish to share my test and WIP renders in this thread. I'll start with tonights test render of metallic gears. I smacked together some gear models just to get started rendering with Corona. Haha, I really wanted to get going tonight.

This uses a basic metal shader, and took 8 minutes to reach 200 samples on a i7-5820K.

I will post more renders as I progress with Corona. I have posted here before, back when the alpha was a thing, but now I have also jumped on the full version, and hope to create lots of nice work with Corona :D Thanks for a great and friendly business model, and a high quality renderer.

Awesome, really high quality, professionally done renders! :D
Modelling is sweet as well. I assume the straps were done in Marvelous Designer.

They are really good, and the stylized look is really.. Hmm, artistic in a way I suppose. Can't find the word, but they are aesthetically pleasing to my eyes at least :D

This looks really great! Loving the grass. Not a big fan of the star destroyer shaped leaves in the foreground trees though lol.

About the trees, those are more like preview trees this wor is a lottle teaser for upcomming short animation. Just want ot practise with dynamic enviroments.

So it is a WIP, not a finished project/render :p
Perhaps consider the WIP section :)

The mood is sweet though, a warm summery feel with a cold, threatening forest in the FG/right side. Now if you put an innocent creature in the little opening, this could be horror worthy!

I believe this should probably be in the WIP section.

Other than that, the lighting is kind of dull and the model lacks definition. The shader is pretty basic, but I suppose it shows that you know how to do a metal shader. Although, because the model is lacking, it is difficult to actually express any real opinions on the render itself. It is also too dark in my opinion. But yeah, we all have to start somewhere. I would go check out some basic modelling tutorials and perhaps increasing light intensity overall so it is easier to see it. And for next time, maybe describe your work a little more, and what exactly you may be interested in having C&C'd. Like, do you want to do modelling, lighting, surfacing etc. Or perhaps just make aesthetically pleasing images, in which case you should also look up composition and camerawork. Even do some hobbyist photography to get a better understanding of light. That's about what I can say about this render. Now good luck improving!

Seems like mostly fractals and basic shapes rendered with sweet shaders and equally interesting lighting. Proves that you do not need advanced models to produce visually interesting renders, but merely experience with your tools and artistic knowledge/vision.
